Who honestly believes the salary statistics for new graduates anymore?
There is absolutely, positively, ZERO chance that the average new grad starts out at $50K. NONE. NADA. ZIP. ZILCH.
I've been involved in the engineering department at two colleges now. Both schools show the exact same chart from the exact same publication showing ostensible graduate statistics.

Yep, they use old stats because if the truth were known, people would go elsewhere, choose another major, or not go at all. Law school and MBAs are probably the worst offenders after undergrad.
