OK guys, no 15" LCD monitors this time, but still some very good deals coming up. These prices SHOULD be effective on 1/27 at store opening, but no promise with some of the system problems in-house.....I will fill in more details as I get them, but here is what I have so far...

Assuming OMX = OfficeMax, any suggestions how/where to find the Palm VII? I called a local OMX B&M and offered the SKU posted -- they replied "It's too short (not enough digits)." I then asked them to look up just a plain Palm VII and was told it was no longer in the system (only the VIIx is listed). I asked if other stores might have it listed in their systems and was told "No, they're all running off the same system." The original post indicates how many are available -- suggestions how to find these?

Called three local OMX's here (Twin Cities) and none available here either. Yes it is a Western Digital (or was).

Update to my previous post:

I didn't see the revised info on SKU numbers before I decided to physically visit a B&amp;M other than the one I called earlier. I found &quot;pull tags&quot; for the Palm VII in their Palm display area. The store inventory system indicated that they had two on hand when they opened this AM. Sure enough, they came up with two for me (one for me, one for my wife). These rang up at $219 each. I was told there is a 15-day price protection policy on these, so I expect I'll be going back within the next two weeks to either return them or get the price adjusted. To save others trouble, the store I purchased mine at is on S. Wadsworth in Littleton, CO.

hoihtah: IF you want to spend about 80 bux for a DVD, there was a post on 76bux+shipping for a Toshiba 12x which is what I got and is very good drive.

What's the price protection plan? and how does it work?

glad to be back on the hot deals forum, I have been, and continue to, spend way too much time and $$ on the for sale/trade forum!

The price policy means that if you buy something for 100, and the next day it is marked down to $60, you can come back to the store with your receipt and get $40 back...only applies 7 days after the original date of purchase though.

Other items in the markdown include a Brother Multi-funtion MFC 9100C for 249, a Sharp Digital Copier for 349 (AL1610), and a 6200 flatbed scanner for 49...I will post some more on Monday when I have more details..
