hey guys
I build my setup
I'll use the Strix 2080 Super
I have a few questions
1: is the cooling system overkill for 14700K?
2: Antec vs corsair psu?
3: Is the motherboard and CPU strong enough for future GPU upgrades?

overall it is looking good for heavy gaming?

thx

There's something going on with Intel 13/14th gen right now and they can't solve it so, either go with a 12th gen or switch to AMD.

The PA120 coolers work well with top of the line CPU options and they're cheap at $35.

Mobo is a personal preference but, I use ASRock primarily due to cost and how they divy up the lanes for use. The wine im using now has static assignments and doesn't split them when I add a other card like most others.
.
PSU I use EVGA after getting burned by some others.

For fans I use the Arctic pwm/pst fans as you can daisy chain them together off single headers and they're quiet. Five packs sell on Amazon for about $40.

What are you looking to do with your system?

If it's a gaming build, consider a system around a 7800x3D - the reigning gaming CPU champion. Plus, it runs cooler than the 14th gen Intel.

Not sure you need a 1000W PSU - that's seems like overkill, unless you're going to run a 4090.

heavy gaming 1080P 144Hz (in the future ill probably but 2k)
I'm scared of and so I'll go with intel
I choose 1000W because I know I'll upgrade the GPU in the future

Why scared of AMD? The 7800x3D is a fantastic value and is the gaming CPU king? It would be perfect for your build, especially with Intel having problems with 13th and 14th gen performance.

And if you're in the US and there is a nearby Micro Center, they frequently have really good value CPU/board/RAM bundles that can save you a bit as well.

Edit: I see you put it in the other response. How long ago was your AMD history? A lot changes even just generation to generation.

I'm aware that AMD better now but still
anyway I decide to wait for the 15th intel
