Components:
Asus Prime B450M-A
AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with AMD Wraith Cooler
G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3000 8GBx2
ADATA Swordfish M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 SSD 500GB
Logisys PS550A-BK 550 watt Power Supply
DIY PC Solo-T2-BK with 2 120mm Fans

I put it all together. Made sure everything was plugged in correctly. When I press the power button, the button LED itself doesn't light up. However, as soon as I turn on the power supply, lights come on on the motherboard itself. Then, when I hit the power button, the two case fans and the CPU fan come on for a split second, then turn off and nothing else happens. Lights on motherboard stay on. Nothing ever shows up on the monitor.

I'm at my wits end here, guys. Everything was purchased new from Newegg. I'm at the point of sending it all back for a partial refund and taking a huge financial loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

These parts (above) are OK. Although I haven't personally used the Adata "Swordfish" NVMe SSD yet. (It does look interesting, and relatively inexpensive.)

These parts (above) are crap, and you should be embarrassed to call yourself an "enthusiast" using such a crap PSU and case.

Look, I *know* PSUs, right now, are a bad deal. But may I suggest what I've compromised on, some EVGA PSUs (even 80Plus White) in the 500-600W range, for $50-65 + ship (+tax).

That may or may not actually be your problem, you need to start with standard trouble-shooting, but a bad / poor-quality PSU is going to give you a bad time, regardless.

I would remove the SSD (optionally), and try it with just one stick of RAM, in the second slot in. (Generally, with Ryzen, with 4 DIMM slots and 2 DIMMs, you use the Second, and Fourth, slot, for the RAM. Your mobo manual or quick-start guide will let you know for sure.)

Also, did the mobo's box say "3rd-Gen Ryzen 3000 Ready" on it? If it did not, it may need to be flashed, with an earlier CPU/APU.

Also, check for mobo standoffs in the wrong place, especially if the case came with standoffs pre-installed, which might be the case here. They might be shorting something.

Be nice Larry, as not everyone knows about the differences in quality between power supplies.

But I agree, avoid Logisys power supplies.
Sorry, I was channeling my "Inner Kyle". (BitWit on YT, not S.P.)

3-egg PSU (his choice):

Pros: It has a nice black finish. Good airflow.

Cons: It only has one Sata and no PCI-E. It's actually (according to the sticker on the side of the PSU) a 400watt power supply with a maximum output of 550watts. So don't buy this unless you only need 400watts or less.

It is LOUD. I can't stand it. My Antec 1200 case with 7 fans makes half as much noise as this power supply!

Overall Review: I got it free, never would have bought it otherwise. I'll update this review when it burns my house down or something

4-egg PSU (my choice):

That's pretty-much the lowest that I would go on the PSU totem-pole of quality, for a for-pay build.

The PSU is definitely the prime suspect here. The board has supported the CPU for over a year, and I doubt da egg has such old stock on hand.

Before returning and getting a better PSU, there a couple of things to try. Pull the power cord from the PSU, remove the CMOS battery, wait a couple of minutes, replace and try to boot. And pro-tip: Always boot bare bones i.e. board, cpu, ram, and vid card if applicable, in your case it is not, on top of the mobo box before putting in a case. If something goes wrong, it saves time and effort.

What are the specific model g.skill Ripjaws memory modules do you have? The model number probably starts with F4-3000.

Also, did you remember to plug in the CPU fan and is it plugged in to the correct header on the motherboard?

Given current market conditions, the threshold for PSUs being of sufficient quality to not wipe out equipment is about $45-60.

The Thermaltake TR2 would have been the budget PSU to choose.

Do you have a GPU? You didn't list one and the Ryzen you bought doesn't have an IGP.
