Friend of mine is thinking about trading in his 3 year old tablet and picking up a desktop computer to game with. He is very interested in the next Microsoft Flight Simulator (X i think?). I would assume that this would be very graphics intensive. What would be the best proprietary system? He doesn't have the knowledge to build one and I can't do it for him. I would assume that AMD is still numero uno in the processor department (not a fanboy, just an observation), and video card manufacturer doesn't matter (I have both, just look at my sig).

true..., but the iMac has limited graphic capabilities. the best is the x1600. it might be better to wait for the PowerMac to go intel then put serious graphics into it. that is if you want a Mac. frankly, i like AMD much better then Intel as my sig states, but it does seem as if Intel's next CPU called conroe will pretty much beat the crap out of most of AMD's current cpu's. it's that good. i'd wait a bit. maybe 6 month and then get a computer in chritmas when Vista will finally ship (hopefully! you never know!) and get a conroe desktop.
