PJ has NEVER sounded the same.. every album has been different. have you heard severed hand? it sounds a little like porch, but with so much more quitar action in it.. different direction, that just cracks me up..

This album this puts them back to forefront. Great album, great sound, and who ever said the vocals were weak.. come on.. listen to all that layering... incredible.. this is some of their best work to date.. you can hear hints of all their old work in this album and the way they are playing.. man.. it just blows me away...

Pearl Jam has combined a new sound with their old sound and the results are spectacular.

After listening a few more times, I am finding more and more about this album that just stands out..

It 1000% better than most of the stuff out there today.. PJ doesnt sing about what they are going to do with the hot girl tonight.. they sing about life and things that are relevant..

PJ is just like fine wine.. the older they get, the better they become and this album is proof.

Everything else together was not even close to TEN? laughable again.. although is a GREAT album.. they have lived up to that level on several of their albums, VS, Yeild, Binaural to name a few..

Been a huge fan forever... It took me 3-4 listens on this album to realize just how amazing it truely is. Song 13 is perfect. This album is also edgier then the last few.. much more hard rockin with heavier singing.. remnisant of Ten. Nothing will ever be Ten.. It's hard to compare though.. when you know every song on an album, every note, every word.. Ten will never be matched.. but this new album is really really outstanding if you give it a chance.

p.s. I also got it through Ten Club, and it came with a live show from NYC in 1992.. it's truely amazing too.. and when you listen to both back to back.. you can see the edginess that they are bringing back on this new album.. it's a lot like PJ of the past.

Finally grabbed a copy at BB for the sale price Saturday afternoon. Listened to some of it while preparing dinner for some company I had coming over. Normally, with PJ albums, the first time I listen to it, I do so just on a "surface" level without paying much attention to it. Then after that, I'll really pay attention to the lyrics and music. Have heard it about 3 times now and I think it's great. As I said earlier, most PJ albums tend to really grow on me over time. I don't think this one will be any exception to that.

I'm just pissed they're skipping over my area before heading to Europe. Had really hoped to take in 2-3 regional shows but they're not coming anywhere close to me.

Another quality album by PJ and it's still a hundred times better than the majority of crap that is being produced these days. Hats off to one of the few, true "touring bands" who are still rocking into their 40's.

What do you think of the "book" from Tenclub.. Nice eh? I am glad I preordered from there.. although.. I had to get it at best buy the day of the release because I didnt get mine from the 10Club yet..

i got this CD.. and it is does not even come close to the new Pearl Jam CD..

I mean really.. I dont get it.. this is just all slow stuff with alot of guitars and lightening going on.. oh and alot of cymbals too... is that a violin i hear? and you can barely hear the vocalist...

anyway.. you CANNOT compare these 2 albums.. they are COMPLETELY different..

Pearl Jam is alot better in my opinion...

For those people still trying to get in on this deal, you might want to print out the page from bestbuy.com that says it is $9.99. I just went over to my store and it was marked $13.99 there and they told me that it was now $13.99 online too, but it is not. Now I have to go back with my printed copy and get my 4 bucks.
