it's pretty good, but can you list the parts you have and the ones you are planing to buy? (for possible suggestions)

if you want to make it feel like a 2013 PC just buy some SSD...

Vapor x is more $$ than its worth.

Your cpu is locked so you stuck @3.4. MB is weak. Not bad but nothing to rave over. Reconsider gpu ans psu on this build

Actually he's stuck at 3.4 because of his motherboard. Otherwise he could overclock to 3.9 or 4 I believe.

OP, if you're a gamer, and not going to OC, why not change the 3770 to a 4670 (non-K). Get a B85-based board. Better mobo features (HUGELY better than H67!), better IPC, better gaming in 90% of titles, ice cold at stock.

This is a good B85 mobo : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157389

Here is a matching i5 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116898

Here is a matching i7 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116900

Save money by getting this 3GB 7950 for $179 :

It's not the best 7950 per se, but it's really darn good for the money. Probably not worth paying a huge amount more for a different model imho. Crazy good deal at $179.

For now, atleast, I am sticking with all my stock, and adding a PSU and GPU. When it gets slow and old I think I will be much more experienced and I will invest in a high-end custom built. What do you say would be the required wattage for my PC?

3770 with HD 7950 can run on very well on a rosewill capstone 450w which has 37A on +12v rail. (37 x 12 = 444w)

but if you want to upgrade your PC in future with a faster unlocked CPU and want to go for extreme overclocking I suggest rosewill capstone 550w or seasonic G550

But isnt 444w low? The AMD website says 500w recommended

The recommendations from mfg are always on the SUPER SAFE side, to account for cheap Chinese tin-can power supplies with nothing more than a sticker that says '1.21 jiggawatts', and for the hoarder-type builder that has 17 hard drives, 200 fans, etc in there, along with an overclocked Prescott or some other idiotic CPU sucking 250w+ by itself.

To put a bullet on it, the Dell XPS 8500/8700 only have an officially '460w' PSU, but I've installed many a GPU in them that recommend "500w" without issue.

depends on how much you want to spend. at the same clocks HD 7970 is 5- 7% faster than HD 7950. HD 7950(1125 Mhz) = HD 7970 Ghz(1050 mhz)

HD 7970 costs USD 60 - 80 more. so its upto you to decide if you want that extra perf . here is the sapphire HD 7970
