New Rig: Need help understanding case connectors

New rig specs in sig.

My case has some external outputs that I know get plugged in somewhere but I'm not sure where...

HDD: Which HDD is this led light for? I have two drives but there's only one connector provided on my MoBo. Does the MoBo connector output the status of the "primary drive" so that the HDD light on the case will only be on when the HDD is passing data? Do I understand this right?

Sound: I have a head phone jack in the front of my case. I'm using an Audigy 2Zs for sound... does the case connector go to the Audigy or the MoBo? I'd assume it goes to the Sound card... Can't see the card right now, do Audigy cards have somewhere to plug in this case connector?

USB: I think this is straightforward and that these case connectors just plug into any extra MoBo connectors... Is there any way to test out the USB functionality before the OS is installed?

didn't you get a manual to your mobo, when you bought it??..
if not, DL the manual from your mobo's webside..

THe manual will tell you everything. FOr your HDD LEDS, there is only one that plugs into the mobo from the case. Even if youhave 2 hardrives, they sahre the same plug and the same LED.

For sound, most front panel cases hook up to the motherbaord, which will be descriped in your manual, if you have on bord audio. Other wise you most liekly cannot use the front audio unless it acutally plugs into the audigy in the back of the computer liek a head phoen jack.

USB you pretty much cannot go wrong plug into the usually yellow plugs on the motherboard. Best to test it when windows is installed.
