Just got a new 4TB Seagate harddrive from a Blackfriday deal.
Put the new drive in and got it all set up. Also copied around 2TB of data to it.
Everything seems to be fine in that regard.
I did notice though that some of the CrystalDiskInfo appears to be off. E.g. the Read Error Rate keeps changing and the raw value is not 00000000000 as it is for my other HDDs.
Here is the info I am concerned about:
Attribute Name............Current........Worst........Threshold........Raw Values
Read Error Rate:..........112.............100............6...................000002EA8CE0
Seek Error Rate:...........61..............60.............30..................00000016FB3F
Yesterday the Read Error Rate "Current" value was 117.
Is this of concern? Should I RMA the drive?
Obviously don't want to have a damaged drive, especially if it is brand new.
