New System: confused about Processor/Mobo/RAM combo

Sorry to keep annoying everyone with this, but I am confused about what top of the line processor/motherboard/RAM combo I should get. I'm waiting until early/mid september before I purchase all my parts. Will there be an Athlon4(Palomino) processor runing at OVER 1.2Ghz by then?????

If so, what motherboard should I go for?

What is the best RAM I can get? Crucial?

AMD should release a 1.5GHz Pally in September.

You're buying in an interesting timeframe.

On the AMD side, the SIS and NVIDIA mobos should both be on the market. Since the benchmarking on these is still to be seen (at least in anything close to production models), it's a tossup. Personally, I would be looking at the NVIDIA board, but then I don't even know what they'll be selling it for.

On the Pentium side, until they slash prices and bring out the Socket 478 version, I wouldn't buy anything. I have to admit I'd be tempted to buy one of the VIA DDR based boards, but they won't be out in September, that's for sure.

Crucial is fine RAM, though I don't think they have CAS2 available. Not sure who does.

How low are the Intel prices expected to drop??? Are they expected to be at(or near) the price of AMD processors??

Also, *SHOULD* I go with an nVidia board when they come out? True there are no benchmarks for it yet, but they are new to the mobo buisness, and maybe their mobo's won't be that great???

Basically, my goal is to buy the BEST system I can for $2000 (w/o monitor).
