New System - Looking for Critique

Well no love. It's not even posting. I'm hoping it just me that hooked something up wrong but I can't see what. Guess I'll have to bring it to a local shop and see if they can tell me if the CPU is fried or I just had something connected wrong.

Everything powers on though. All fans, nice blue lights, just no post.

Edit: Solved my issue. So embarrassing. I didn't have BOTH power connectors connected. Phew saved me a trip and some embarrassment.

Coming to you live from my new system. Everything seems to be working just fine and wow the speed. I love that SSD that's for sure. I'm transferring my stuff back over and will probably spend most of the day tomorrow installing and configuring my main apps and before I go to bed I'll start up the mem tests just to make sure my memory is good.

Hey guys,

Thought I'd give a final update on the system. It's performing very well. That SSD is beast. Funny story. I went to install the SSD. Didn't realize how small it was and of course it didn't fit in any bay so I ran to Frys (Because they were the only ones that seemed to have a cheap 2.5 -> 3.5 mounting kit) and bought a mounting kit but it didn't seem to line up properly.

Then while I was looking things up I saw that the case I got says it's SSD compatible. So I look for a mounting kit inside. Nope. Then I see the single piece of paper explaining how you mount it on the bottom of the case.

So I did. But that caused an issue with my cables which on one end are 90 degree angled. I switched the ends but the way the SATA connectors are...well if I want another SATA 3 device I'm gonna have to buy new cables. They're cheap so no biggie for now.

Anyway, that's all to report. The system is current not OC'd because I had issues when I did. I'll try again later but for now my system is stable and running very nicely.

He probably needs straight-angle to straight-angle cables. Lots of mobos these days come with right- or left-angle to straight-angle cables.

In that case, this OKGear latching one should be what you need. Obviously, you should get a longer one if 18" won't be enough.

Just need straight with no angles on either side. System is doing great. Had some hiccups but solved them. After experiencing the speed of the SSD I'm sooo tempted to buy another one but I won't...least not right now
