Questions for you:

1) What kind of heatsink should I get (and how much of a hassle are they to install?)?

2) I need to access a wireless network (), so what is a good wireless network adapter?

3) I need another fan (or two). Can I get some suggestions as to which type to get?

4) Can you think of anything I should add to this system?

5) Will that powersupply be too loud with the 140mm fan? If you think so, what should I replace it with?

If I have any other questions I will post them Thankyou SO much for any assistance you can give.

BTW: Those prices are in CAD, not USD

1. I think the best heatsinks are the all-copper ones, based on the fact that copper has a much higher thermal conductivity (401 vs. 237 whatever unit this metric has) than does aluminum. Zalman makes great, quiet all copper heatsinks, can't remember the names off the top of my head.

2. I'm not familiar with what's best, but just about every Linksys adapter I've worked with has worked fine.

3. Yate Loon. Regular old Antecs are fine as well.

4. No. I'd want more hard drives, but that's me.

5. Dunno about that specific model.

1. Zalman's are good. thermalright ultra-120 gets good reviews. I'm using a scythe infinity right now, but it's not good as good with low air flow(quiet) fans as the ninja due to tighter fin spacing. On the other hand, it cools better than the ninja with a high cfm fan.

3. Like Gigantopithecus said, Yate Loons are quite nice.

Why did you choose to go with an ide hard disk? Just curious.

I love the MX518. Good choice.

Looks like a nice system though.

I just ordered my parts for my e6600 yesterday from NewEgg.

1. I went with an Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7.
It is supposed to be good, easy to install
and will fits. Some of those things are HUGE.

2. I use LinkSys for wireless. Good and reliable.

3. Don't know but see number 5.

4. More hard drives.

5. Look here for tips on quiet stuff.

I'm curious why you chose the motherboard?
The ASUS P5W DH Deluxe has wireless built in, 4 IDE ports CrossFire and firewire for
$219 US.

So the DH Deluxe has wireless built in? Do you mean wireless network? Or something else?

Is there a better type of HD to get?

I mean it can access a wireless network.
Wireless LAN: 54Mbps IEEE 802.11g (ASUS WiFi-AP Solo?)

According to the ASUS website it appears the board you've selected can add this capability as an option.

Yeah, I went with your suggestion. Less hassle Plus it'll work just fine I think.
