I'd get a different PSU,haven't heard too many good things about that PSU line, try for a Corsair VX550,and a P35 board would suit you well.

if you ever plan to go SLi your gonna have to OC that q6600 like a mofo to take advantage of it... im in the process of that right now...

and honestly if you can pop for the extra cash, just get a 8800GT... i kinda wish i had gone 8800GT's in SLi... and maybe some higher end dual core...

The Maximus Formula is based on the X38 Chipset. No SLI. Also, I haven't found any Core2 to really be CPU limited in games, even with SLI, unless it's something like SupCom. A 2.4GHz Core2 is fine for most games.

I'd second getting 4 GB (about 3.2GBs should be recognized in a 32bit OS) and getting a better power supply. I'd recommend the Xigmatek 650W @ newegg. AT did a review recently and found it decent.

Heres the problem, 32 bit vs 64 bit. I heard that some softwares dont work on 64 bit OS. Can you guys list some examples so that i can double check to make sure i dunn use those programs. Cuz if i do, then i have to stay in the 32 bit OS lol.

You can "use" 4GB of RAM in a 32bit environment. It just won't have all of the RAM available to the OS (with your 512MB Graphics card and then all of the OS addressing space, I'd say you'd have about 3.2-3.3GB available) so you would have more than 2 GB. Or you could go 2x 1GB and 2x 512MB and keep your dual channel and 32-bit OS without loss of space.

64-bit Windows has problems with immature driver support (manufacturers seem to not spend much time on 64bit drivers) but I have not had problems with any programs except a few that required drivers to run. 98% of my programs run fine in the *32 "compatibility mode" of my Vista Ultimate x64.

List the programs YOU use and ask for 64-bit experience with these.
