You're not guaranteed to always get the big work units, you basically get whatever Stanford shovels your way .Originally posted by: RemyCanad
It is only using 12meg of RAM. I turned on the option to use more. Is this correct?
True, but you increase your odds by running both with Big WUs enabled and the -advmethods flag. If you're running as a service, you'll have to add this flag through the registry (instead of tacking it on to the end of the shortcut). Let me know and I'll dig up the details again if this is the case.Originally posted by: MDE

Or, if you want to be really brave and really lazy, you could check out the utility in this thread.1/ Shut down that instance through the Services manager snap-in
2/ Run regedit and go to key HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\<service name> and edit the entry ImagePath, adding whatever flags you wish to the end. Exit regedit.
3/ Re-open the Services manager snap-in, and verify that your changes appear there, and then restart the service.
Perhaps you could make batch files using "net start" and "net stop" to pause and resume the service... Of course, that may not work; I've not tried it to know whether it does or not.Originally posted by: RemyCanad
I am not running as a service (Because I need to start and stop it too much. If it is running while I am trying to record and compress video at the same time I lose some frames...) so I added the flags to the shortcut. I will let you know if I run into any problems.
