New Test Drive Offers from Nissan!

In reference to the age thing... the coupon says you gotta be 21... but
I won't be 21 for a few more monhts and I test drove a Maxima a couple of months ago to get the free Swiss Army watch... the guy didn't even ask to see my license or fill out any paperwork or anything... I guess I could have probably gotten him just to sign the coupon... but I kinda wanted to tryout the car anyway =P ...watch showed up about 5 weeks later...not a bad deal at all.

If you did the Maxima Test drive a few months ago for the Swiss Army Watch, does that mean Nissan will not allow you to get this test drive gift?

Went to the dealer today. He asked are you going to buy one? Probably not I replied. Signed me off and gave me a bussiness card. Sent off for the back pack. No Pathfinders in stock. (I had the offer printed off for both models just in case. So I got it for not driving the XETERA. Will it fly if I drive the Pathfinder in another town and send that in?

Yeah, I went to the dealers last night, and the dealer guy and I had a long talk in the car about life.

He signed the thing before we even did the test-drive.

I drove the Maxima SE for fun. Now, I'm looking forward to the watch to come in tbe mail.

Nissan seems to be on top of things...unlike Oldsmobile.



Anyone have the radios? Like them? Are they good? Not sure which I'd prefer to have, a daypack would be handy!!

I had a pair of these radios. Bought them from equalfooting ($65 - $50 rebate = $15) then promptly lost one while snowboarding. They're o.k. as far as range goes, and they're fairly compact, but they don't have subchannels. Means that they're handy for camping trips, but if you take them to a location where there are a lot of FRS radios (ski resort), you'll be hearing the conversations of a couple dozen other people. Of course, the FRS radios with subchannels are about twice as expensive.

I did one last year for a different swiss army watch and got it, but I was only 20.
If they don't take your license you should be set.

Fitzm, how do you get them to send you so many of the same thing.

I got called from subaru for doing two of the rei GC's last fall.

My advice. If you have done one for the current swiss army watch, wait until it comes and then send away for the next one, the kelty/frs offer is good till april 2.

By the way, the kelty backpack is awesome. Sells for 100 bucks and includes a hydration pack!!

Are you saying you just now drove the Maxima SE and can get a watch? How do you go about this? This isn't for just driving the xterra or the pathfinder?

I don't think he's getting the watch....or there is a misunderstanding....I was told, by Nissan they were out of the watches. Nissan doesn't even advertise the watch anymore, only has the picnic basket (which was the other choice) like the backpack and radios today.

Myself and two buddies test drove one tonight. Great chance to put an SUV through our own paces.
We took that thing in 4WD over parking lot curbs and landscape. Not a bad drive. Got it for an hour. Nissan was real pleasant. They let us run that thing pretty good knowing full well, we had no interest in buying it. FUN

Bought 2001 SE in January. Word of advise: Settle for XE. SE has sunroof that open only 2". I wasted money.

This looks pretty cool. I printed up two. One for my house and one using my parents address. Ill just make sure to test drive in my town and test drive there while Im visiting. Ill get both! Great find.

Last time, I took 3 of my friends (all armed with certificates) to the lacal dealership. The "friendlyn dealer" rushed to us with a brightest smile these guys can make. You should see his face, when I, in pollite ways, explained him the reason for our visit. No. We weren't planning to by Pathfinder, but we want our backpacks. I kinda felt sorry for the guy. The only thing he could squeeze out was: "are you sure that you all want to go for a test drive?". I said: "No, we can do it an easy way - just sign the damn certificates, give us the cards and we'll be out of here in no time." It's always pleasant to have such understanding....

I got a 2000 XE & put an aftermarket removable sunroof in it, works great.

All checking out the X = It is an AWESOME truck! I love mine! So if you're going, take a ride anyway, it is a nice ride.

approx. 2 1/2 weeks after mailing in my test drive my watch arrived yesterday...very nice...and i didn't even actually take a test drive...salesman just signed it for me...in-and-out in less than 2 minutes
