I don't know about the X1500, but are the Mobility Radeon X1300 and X1400 new? I just noticed them on ATI's site. I remember seeing the MR X1600 awhile back, but not the lower-end parts.

X1300 & X1400 are new. I know the X1300 is going to be like the X300; 4 pipelines, low clock, not much 3D performance. I'm assuming the X1400 is going to be like the X600; four pipelines, higher clock, okay 3D performance.

The X1600 is really the sweet spot though: 12 pipes, 475/475 clocks, and only draws at max 17W. Yeah buddy!

Odds are that the X1300 is a sight better than the X300, since it's not just a PCIe version of an earlier AGP card. But I'd certainly say that if you care much about 3D performance, you should be looking at the X1600 or better.

I just found out about 45 mnutes ago that the X60s (X60s is a specific model, I'm not saying plural X60's ) will feature the Low Voltage Yonah processors. The X60 will have full power Yonah's.

Any prices on these Thinkpads? I was looking at prices on the Yonah core duo yesterday, and the core duo T2600 (2.16GHz) was going for well over 600 dollars. The others, of course were cheaper. The link was on the Macrumors page, but the link is now dead. Not sure if they got in trouble for posting the prices up, or there is just something wrong with the link.

The price chart no longer works.

Looking at the better/bigger pictures on notebookreview.com I would say that is an afirmative Linuxator. Same whacky function/esc placement and annoying forward/back buttons, so there is still some oddness for Thinkpadders to love (or love to hate).

Also, T60 gets rid of the parallel port. Finally!

Lenovno keeps up the "inovations" they may build a decent dell, I mean laptop yet!

Yep, Win keys on both the T60 & X60's now. I'd say its fair to assume all forthcoming models will have those.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..........!
I don't understand what the problem is w/ the Win-key.. that's one of the only features (albeit minor) that I don't like about the T keyboard's layout. I prolly use that key (ctrl+Winkey = minimize all windows) 10 or 15 times a day on my pc.

1- What the logo aims at pisses me off.
2- As a Linux user it's useless for me.
3- It will get in my way as I am not used to keyboards with win key, most probably I will have to program it as Ctrl, thus a waste of precious space and the keys get crammed.
5- Again the logo pisss me off, isn't it enough that I have to be forced to buy a microsoft OS I also have to see that logo after the format too, enough is enough GOD!!!

Oh, deal with it.

The first time I ever used the Windows key was under Linux. It's great for creating shortcut combinations.

It's not about how it makes me feel only, it's just that this propaganda of brainwashing people with windows logos that kills me, why should it be a windows logo in there, it would have been fine with me if they have named it the XX or the FF key or whatever, but making it a windows key is just telling people that windows is the only OS out there and if that computer is going to be used with anything then it's going to be windows, for crap's sake am I getting my point across ?

It was an honour for me to be a customer of a brand of laptops that I think
were the only in the market that didn't have the win key it wasn't because of they couldn't do it, it was the ideology of non submission.

Now it's all gone now, THANK YOU FCKN LENOVO, MY FUTURE LAPTOPS ARE GOING TO CONFORM WITH GATES'S IDEA OF HOW A LAPTOP SHOULD BE LIKE, YA THANKS A BUNCH MORONS.

/Rant

in fewer words: I don't like the the Win-key cuz I don't like Microsoft.

Honestly, if the key "gets in the way" then why don't we just get rid of the rest of the useless (to me anyway) keys.. "scroll/num lock", "pause/break", "insert", 1/2 the function keys, "Access IBM", "~/`", etc.. and before anyone gets their feathers ruffled, yes! I know those keys are useful to some but not most. Conversely, the "win" key is useful to many but not all. - I guess it's an example of the old adage, you can't please everyone all of the time. - But Thinkpads come reeal close

The reason why Thinkpads are not like every other laptops, is because they aren't supposed to please everyone!
Thinkpads are supposed to be aimed at businesses and professionals, who don't want something flashy that will take a crap in 2 weeks, and at the same time they don't want to look like a 12 years old when using one.

If they were made with the intention of pleasing the majority of the market, then I don't think they would have used the same black color for them that has been in use for 13 years in a row of their production.

What's next Thinkpads without Trackpoints ? Last time I checked people who like Trackpoints are a minority in the laptop market. What, Lenovo should get rid of that too ?

People don't see it , Thinkpads are about heritage, and about not going with the flow and satisfying fads whenever they arise, otherwise we would have had white glossy Thinkpads by now, and they would have been called the iPads and they would have a big orange on the back of the LCD
Thinkpads are about making a point, not letting others make the point for you.

The win key is not part of the Thinkpad ideology and it should never have been added, Thinkpads are not supposed to be like any other laptop out there, if people like me wanted to, we would have got a Dell instead of a Thinkpad, we would have saved an ass load of money and got some extra fad like features in it too for the money.

OH and BTW in FC 4 I have the scroll lock setup to lock my screen
