New To Intel Chipsets

I just got my MSI 865PE Neo2-PLS motherboard today to replace my old SiS 648 based mobo and I want to swap them without reformatting.
First I want to make sure I have all the proper drivers for it. Which ones do I need? I already downloaded the latest INF's from Intel's site. Do these include USB and AGP drivers? Do I need IDE drivers or do they come with the OS? Do I need LAN drivers? Or are they all included in Intel's INF's and with XP SP2?

edit: i found the right LAN drivers from MSI's site, downloaded them, and the .zip consists of one .cat file, one .inf file, and two .sys files. i have no clue what to do with them. can someone help?

Anything integrated into the chipset is installed with the Intel drivers. Intel's LAN, IDE, AGP, USB2.0, etc. MSI may have more specific drivers, for those devices. But, with the IntelINF drivers, which you should install right away, will install everything controlled by the chipset.

Those files in the .zip file need to be extracted and you'll have to go to Update Driver in your Device Manager and browse to that folder to update the LAN drivers to the ones you downloaded.

Just click on them to open with any "unzip" program. I use aladdin system's "expander". Or you can use "live update". Just download the latest version off msi's website, and it will examine your board, and load the appropriate files, or tell you if your board is up to date.

thanks for the help guys, i think i will give live update a go.
what im planning to do is to uninstall all of my drivers, then plug in the motherboard and run windows repair install, then use liveupdate to get the latest drivers for the new board. i dont know how to uninstall DirectX though.

I don't think you can. I'd just suggesting reinstalling DirectX when you get your system up.
