Probably not. I'll be happy if it earned more than Spidey's opening weekend in it's entire run.

I hope it does, especially considering how terrible a movie SP3 is.

This movie will make a ton of money but probably in the $250 mil range total. It won't come close to SM3's opening weekend.

The only films that have a real shot at beating out SM3 for opening weekend and overall box office are Shrek and Pirates and the early reviews don't bode well for Shrek to pull it off.

Pirates will be the #1 film of the year... SM3 will be #2 and Shrek 3 will be #3.

Doubtful, even if Optimal Optimus quoted Optimus Prime twicetwice, with "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." and "Transform and roll out."

For those who aren't Beast Wars watchers, they had the unconscious crew of "The Ark" guest star in The Agenda: parts 1 and 2, and Optimal Situation. Another episode had Starscream's ghost causing trouble, and another had Waspinator temporarily thinking he was Bombshell and quoting "more than meets the eye."

Ravage also appeared, albeit upgraded to a humanoid voice and form. You should check out this short clip of him transforming. The Beast Wars robots didn't really have a transforming noise. Ravage did.

ETA: The CGI of transforming looks cool, but my understanding is tha partially they did it because they wanted them look like "real" vehicels. The Binaltech toys did the same thing without making them look like walking scrap metal. You also might want to search Google for "Ultimate Bumblebee" it is a REALLY cool (and expensive!) toy based on the movie.

Though, for some reason in the movie Bumblebee does not. He communicates by playing music on his radio or some such lame thing.

In the Prequel book it said tha Bumblebee got his Vocals ripped out by starscream several 1000s of years ago.
