At last! Not too pretty, but here its, thanks to crashtech! Thank you!

I have a Xeon 5675 (3.1/3.4 mhz, OC'd to 4.2 mhz - $120 on ebay after the fan, give or take) that gave some new life to my circa 2009-era X58 platform. It was nice to spend $120 and not need to upgrade RAM, MB, etc. Yes, in IPC it's not nearly as fast as a nice shiny new 6700K, but the small amount of tasks I do that really do stress the CPU can use more cores (Handbrake, ffmpeg, Archivo for Tivo, etc.) very well, so for me, for most tasks I care about, I really am getting a 50% speedup for the $$.

All: Why don't we use the latest Cinebench R15?

@ShintaiDK, yes, screenshots of both Cinebench and a utility that will correctly report the clockspeed at which the benchmark was done are required.

@dclive, a screenshot of the speed at which the test was performed is required. I don't know much about Macs, but I am told that the Intel Power Gadget with show clockspeed on a Mac.

Apple Macbook Pro 2014 15" i7/2.5. By the time the render finishes, CPU speed drops so I ran the benchmark (got 6.49) and then ran it again, but partway through the test, I took a snap of the Intel gadget.

They also gave me an Acer with a J1900. I gave it back. It was much faster. I'm not sure what to do with this one. It does seem to stream video alright.

That particular run was on a mini-ITX, easier to cool but mainboard VRM a little weak still.

Anyway what is a mobile quad chip other than a DT chip in sheep's clothing. Question is are the mobile chips DT rejects or the same/ better?

It only turbos to 3.3ghz. Maybe there is a way to force 3.6? It just barely beats my old LGA 775 rig.

There's a beta BIOS for your board, I don't know exactly what capabilities it enables. Sometimes it's more than what they say...
