With some manual affinity tweaking i was able to extract score of 28.96 from dual 2690 v2 system ( 1866 ram). Will post screenies later.

Without tweaking score was 28.35, with just 20 physical cores, it was 24.68. So 12 additional hyperthreads ( 32 - 20rc ), is gaining 4,28 pts, not so bad.

It will take Haswell v3 xeon to substantially improve this score, HW should break 35 with 12 thread cpu's.

Here it is, after some more tweaking ( disabled NUMA in bios ), got 29.43 in best attempt

I was trying to keep this thread alive by posting as many benchmarks as I could. I don't know if it is against protocol to necro a benchmark thread like this, I want to think not? Do you know what the clock speed was fully loaded?

I don't think it is a problem (I'm not a mod, though). It has kind of been brought back up every few months here and there with new scores. I hope to get my new motherboard in this weekend and go for 5.3GHz+. 9+ score or bust!

I'd like to see more AMD representation! Water cool that puppy!

I'm already under water. I can bench at 5.3GHz, but I'm not stable, vdroop to under 1.5v no matter what I set the voltage at in the bios when I go above 5GHz. But, I can run some benches at 5.3GHz and sub 1.5v, so I think the CPU is willing to keep going, my motherboard however appears to be maxed. So, a new motherboard with 50% more power phases and LLC is sitting next to me ready to go.

Once that motherboard is in I plan on treating this CPU like I don't like it.

Sorry, yeah I'm hitting 4.4 Ghz on CPUZ.

Two G's in name too, not to be overly picky.

Btw, you should upgrade the top post charts a bit, cause *cough* mine run from post #50 is fastest *cough*

26.59 - 2xE5-2680 v2!

You can improve that score substantially by manually assigning real cores to Cinebench executable ( 20 real cores + 12 hyperthreads, so it is best to deselect 4 odd (or even) cpus from node0 and node1 in task manager.

There should not be gap that big between 2680 v2 and 2690 v2.

I was wondering about that as it seems to only recognise up to 32 threads. How do you differentiate between a proper core and an HT core in task manager??

At least in Windows 8 it is easy, nodes ( if NUMA is enabled) have 20 threads each, they are enumerated 1 by 1, so if you disable every even or odd CPU you will end up with 10 real cores.

@Tralalak

No A10 submission? I see you posted an A10 running at 2.0GHz in another thread, do you still have it?

AMD A10 7850K APU @ 2.0GHz (QuadCore, Steamroller) with 2× 4 GB DDR3-2400, 11-13-13-30-2T dual-channel.

• CPU: 1.90pts
• CPU (Single Core): 0.53pts

But this is not my hardware => not my result.

Oh, I thought it was yours. I won't be including results from non-members. It would be nice to see some results from the AMD CPUs that get discussed here on the forum, particularly in the context of budget builds. I's like to see 750K, FX 6300, and any A10.

Was feeling good about my i5-760@3.6ghz but this benchmark really makes it show its age

as long as it still does everything you need don't worry about the numbers.

Its out of your control really. Even a guy that builds a system today, a year later you can build one for the same money that is faster it never stops.

isn't it like a 5 years old quad core with no HT? and it still is beating some new $150 CPUs like the i3 4340, and it's around the same as a 6 core FX 6300 in this MT test, you shouldn't feel to bad about it.

Yea I guess when you put it that way I don't feel so bad Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my current system especially for gaming. I was just slobbering over some of those scores at the high end. I do have a i7-4770K and new mobo sitting down at my feet. But my current system is so well tuned and rock solid that I'm hesitant to replace it.

Just joined this board and thought I would contribute an AMD result for my vintage 2009 system...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azFQCnvds0E

It runs between this and 9.8... No overclock for now.

Basically this system is like having two Phenom 1055Ts working together with a slower memory interface (ddr2 667).... for productivity its somewhat faster than the i7 4770 I use for work every day.

It should hit 10.5 with just a slight over clock to 3.0 ghz.

Didn't take a screen shot at the time so these will have to do for now:

cpu-z (taken right after i ran wprime32 after temporarily reverting back to XP, but no changes hardware wise)

This is the link I used to watch it on my PC:

But I would much rather have a regular screen shot than a video. I could not see the model number of the CPU(s) in the video.
