Coverage really depends on the place...I would chose the company that provides the best coverage as a priority. SprintPCS seems to do quite well in Atlanta. A few, only a few, of my friends say Verizon is good.

Moderator, I'm not a seller, but I have a few friends that work at SprintPCS. THe current deals at sprint are now only 500 with no free long distance or 250 with free long distance for 30 a month.

At Business SprintPCS can get Samsung 6100 for $25 or Samsung 8500 for $75 without a contract. ALthough my friend tells me Samsung 8500 is currently out of stock there and will be there in two weeks. November price plans aren't as great as October's plans. Anyone know if they can get the October plans still - 500 with free ld?

Can you order service in one state, and then switch over to another state? They can't charge mroe just because you move.

i'm at ucla too. i have the att plan. 30 bucks a month, 250 anytime minutes, free 500 weeknight/weekend minutes, free incoming text messaging that people can send you from a website, free voicmail. i got the nokia 8260 with it for $80 out the door, and you get a $50 mail in rebate, so total for that eventually is $30. It's good for me because i get 250 anytime minutes with att whereas my friends get only 120 with pac bell. also, a lot of my pac bell friends say they get "system busy" signals when getting/making calls. but they do get free mobile to mobile whereas i don't. both are 30 bucks a month. it depends on what you need

Andrey,

AT&T offers that plan. It's called the Family Plan, and it is actually $24.95 per month, with 60 minutes of outside calling. This is the lowest priced plan in the Family Plan, and it does include voice mail (with no charge or minute use to access it from your cel phone), caller i.d., call waiting, call forwarding (watch it on this one. You are bill per minute if you use call forwarding!), and three way calling. Also, for everyone looking to get a cel phone, always check at the start of the month. This is when the companies usually roll out their new promos.

I still think Verizon sucks and would avoid it like the Gap at all costs.
I don't think that my cellular one is any better, but don't forget the verizon workers strike.

how'd you get the 8260 for $80? www.attws.com sells it for $200. AT&T just came to the Bay Area, know where I can get a good deal on a phone?

1800mobiles.com used to have it for $99 and $50 MIR. but I think they've already increased the price.

Audrey,

These are the plans for Verizon that were given to me yesterday:

250 anytime/500 off peak - $29.99
500 anytime/500 off peak - $39.99
1000 anytime/1000 off peak - $54.99
1500 anytime/1000 off peak - $74.99

All plans include free long distance for call made from your home calling area, which is now the largest home area in Arizona. Off peak hours are from 08:01 pm to 05:59 am Monday through Friday, and all weekend (Saturday and Sunday). All plans also include first incoming minute free, voice mail, call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID, and conference calling.

I am supposed to get some more news on Friday. I will post it as soon as I get it.

I have owned a digital cell phone for over 7 years from; CellularOne, AT&T Pacbell, and Airtouch (now Verizon). I think that Verison has the best Customer Service, Priceing Plans for the minutes you get, and the best coverage.

The SAMSUNG 850 is the best Phone ever. It has a organizer that will sound an alarm when you set it for appointments. It has the most feature that a cellphone can have, without paying for a PDA cellphone.

I know the owner of Communication Express and she can give you a sweet deal on a phone ( she gave me a SAMSUNG 850 with free excessories for $100 when Verizon was asking $200 with no excessories). This is the weird thing, She can offer a better deal than Verizon can directly! She offers about 6 different phones for free!, free hands-free earpeice, free carcharger, and a free leather case. Like I said Verizon can't offer all she is offering. They will ship the phone to you! I don't work for them or anything, I don't get anything for sending them business. It is just a great deal, better than you can get from Verizon and it is service through them. But mention that you heard it from Joon, I just think it is funny to hear from her that I sent some more people for a deal on a phone when I go in to get cell phone stuff from her.

Enjoy

All cellular plans are region specific. The prices and minutes I listed are for the Arizona market. Sorry.
