The listing on Zalman's website doesn't mention Socket A for the 7000A - just 462 and 754. So do I understand this right, that the new model won't fit my Athlon XP T-bred?
3) Intel Pentium 4 (Socket478), AMD Athlon/Duron/Athlon XP (Socket 462), and AMD Athlon 64 (Socket754) compatible design for broad compatibility.

* Specified maximum weight for a cooler is 450g for the Intel Pentium 4 and the AMD Athlon 64, and 300g for the AMD Socket 462 CPU. Special care should be taken when moving a computer equipped with a cooler exceeding the weight guideline. Zalman Tech is not responsible for any damage that occurs when moving a computer.

1) Compatible if there is no motherboard component higher than 15mm in height (usually capacitors) where the clip is to be located (If interference occurs, the excess portion of the clip that interferes can be cut off to make it compatible.)
2) Compatible if there are four heatsink mounting holes around the socket
3) Compatible if there is no component with a height of 39mm or higher in the 55mm radius of the center of the CPU (e.g. power supply, graphics card)
Number 2 confuses me

The four holes are the same holes that the Alpha PAL8045 and Swiftech MCX462 and many waterblocks use.
