Here's my current system.

Foxconn Nforce 590 SLI C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000172)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
2GB Qimonda DDR2 PC2-6400

Running Windows XP Pro SP3

The old video card's I was running were two EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb in SLI. One died out on me about a year ago and then the other now won't play games reliably without crashing the whole computer. So I finally got around to ordering a new video card and decided to go with ATi and picked up a HIS H567Q1G Radeon HD 5670 Video Card - 1024MB DDR5 with plans of using two of them later on in a new computer. So I got the new card the other day and went to install it, uninstalled all of the old nvidia drivers and installed the new card and booted the pc up. The card seems to be running as I can see the fan running but I'm not getting the pc to boot. The bios doesn't even post just get a black screen and I have to turn it off. The mother board has an LED display and it's displaying (looked up the error codes but don't understand them) "C0" which means [Base CPU test - Read/Write CPU registers] followed by "23" which means [Program chipset - Early Programming of chipset registers] followed by "45" which means [Reinit serial port - Reinitialize Preboot agent serial port]. I don't really understand what they mean other them seeming like usual tests the computer would do upon startup.

I know the newer Radeon HD 5670 is a PCIe 2.1 card and my motherboard is only 1.0 I believe but I had read before ordering it that it would work as long as I had a PCIe x16 slot. I did get the card to work in my brother's computer who is running a newer board with PCIe 2.0 but I don't see why it wouldn't at least post the bios setup on mine.

Could anyone help me as to figure out why this newer card is not working on my computer? Is it possibly too new for my motherboard to handle the card?

Also my brother's computer, which the Radeon HD 5670 was working in, was running Windows 7. I don't know if XP won't support a DX11 card or what but was just a thought.
