New video card...which monitor?

I just got a HD4850 & will be in the market for an LCD in the fall.
I was wondering what would be the best size to get for this particular card keeping resolution in mind. The monitor will be a multi-purpose monitor & not specifically for gaming.
I'll probably get a Sammy as far as brand goes, but don't know if I should go with a 19 or 21" (or larger?).

What about a 20'' widescreen 1680x1050? Seems like a hot-spot to me for a hd4850. Samsung has quite a few widescreens at that resolution with 2 ms response time (grey to grey). That's what I would go for .

20" or 22" widescreen at 1680x1050 would definitely be a sweet spot for that card. There are plenty of 22" screens in the $200-$250 range.

I'll probably go to BB when I get ready so I can do a side-by-side & see which one has the best picture, but they probably have a set program they use for the demo's & i'll not be able to judge them 100%.

BB is overpriced when it comes to monitors. But it is good t look at them and see what to expect. Also play with ones that are directly connected to computers.

Find out which brands are the best (I like samsung), go into Best Buy, see which one there that YOU like best, make sure it's a reputable brand, and then order it on newegg. =D

But on the off chance that it's cheaper at BB, get it there of course. Just remember, monitor size is all personal opinion. I'm fine with my 20'' widescreen, but it was way too big when it got it... I wish I had gotten a 22'' now, but my 20'' does good enough. I don't see how people can do things on 26'' monitors... ridiculously big for me, but I know some people lover theirs!

I have a 24", and it doesn't even feel big anymore. It feels just right. If there's one thing I've learned about monitors, too big at first is just right.

I just got a new monitor (22") and next to my now secondary monitor at 17" it is just ridiculously big.

Yeah, that's the later part where too big somehow morphs into too small and you don't really understand how it happened.
