I ordered this card and the PCI version within the past several weeks for myself and friends at work. I have the PCI version running in a Dell 2400. Handles UT2004 demo with no problems.
Overall, Shentech did an ok job. I did have one problem when they sent me an PCI version instead of the AGP version I ordered. After sending them an email they sent me the AGP version and a return shipping sticker. Turned out that someone with almost the same order number ordered the PCI and it got swapped with my order during the packing and shipping phase.
Here's a little history lesson on Visiontek:
Visiontek started out making nVidia based video cards. Their business started failing and as tcsenter mentioned, they were bought out. The new owners switched to making ATI based cards. The cards referred to in this deal were the new company's first offerings. Some of the people involved in the old Visiontek went on to start their own compny called
BFG Technologies (Asylum) and continued making nVidia based cards. This is just a guess but Shentech must have bought out a bunch of old stock from the new Visiontek or a distributor. Everything I've read about the ATI 9100 says that it's a re-marked 8500/LE with a little lower clock speed.
