I'm honestly happy to hear that Sr. While we're asses to each other on the internet for fun, I honestly wish the best for you and your family...

Something that I DONT think includes a $30,000 watch! (isn't that about what you paid for you M-3?)

My M3 was a bit over $40k once it was all said and done. The base price was $36990.

I'd want to double my salary or at least move up another 50% to think realistically about a $30k watch. I am open to the $5k range though.

$26,000 is a down payment on a car to you?

I have an easy life because of her. I still don't know if I am going to stay married much longer, but at least it's going smoothly.
Spending 26k on a woman you're going to divorce (and you will, we all know this). I don't know if that makes you an incredible gentleman or an incredible moron, I honestly don't.

What I do know is that I love your threads. We are all flies to shit with these things if I'm being honest.

I buy a 35 dollar times ironman every several years. In truth it is more functional than more expensive watches because I do use its three alarms, timer, chrono, etc. and these things hold up well. I have a couple of nicer watches I got years back but they are unusable as they lack these essential functions.

I get what amdzen is saying about watches but no phone can be looked at as quickly as the quick turn of a wrist.

I have no need for a watch.
Every wall in my 46 room Mansion has a clock in which any one of my 92 personal Valets can quickly state the time at my beckoning.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Opportunity costs my friend. I don't hate my wife though...

Also with AMDZEN's thing, good luck in a long meeting where phones are considered to be kept away knowing what time it is.

In the end though a watch makes a statement in the business world like one's clothing.

I have an eco drive too... Great watch. It will sit for a while without use and as soon as you put it on the table in the sunlight it starts ticking instantly. I'll probably have it forever.

Your priorities are so fucked. If had you decided not to upgrade watches and hired a fucking real estate lawyer, you'd have avoided foreclosure, lol.

You seriously do not understand the situation. I do have a real estate lawyer, probably one of the best in S. Florida at the moment.

The foreclosure was unavoidable. They still have not applied any of my payments to the loan. That's about $110k of payments minus about $15k or so for taxes/insurance.

Alky, you're trollin' right?

I don't troll, I could post a picture of the watch and a Å next to it, but then people cry out photoshop and shit so it's pointless.

I just got done going through all the settings and how to set alarms and world time on it. I deal with Japan a lot so having their time handy is great. Like right now their time is our time (12 hours ahead), but they don't do DST so at times I screw it up and miss something.

I do wish like was mentioned above they used a Sapphire crystal, sort of ridiculous not to on a $500+ watch.

Why not sue?

I've always bought Bulova watches, not sure why, always like the brand I guess. I do find myself never wearing them anymore though. Maybe if I'm dressing up for something, I'll wear one of them.

I have http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-JY0000...pd_sbs_watch_2
Very similar model, just the colors are different, bought it like 4 years ago, still runs great, and is never more than a fraction of a second away from official time.

I have known a number of military pilots who wore Citizen Skyhawks, but personally I like mechanical watches and would have no use for a slide-rule bezel or any of the other features on that watch. To each his own - enjoy!
I'm not a pilot, but I bought mine in a store specializing in pilot equipment near the airport

Clients, people in meetings, every day acquaintances will all be more impressed if you can give them the time within 5 minutes of the actual time without checking a watch or a cell phone. Sometimes they'll be so impressed they'll ask you the time 5-10 times because they think the first few are lucky guesses.

It takes years of practice to be able to do this confidently, check the time once in the morning, and just keep track during the day. Eventually you'll know the time as soon as you wake up just by judging how you're body feels.

Mechanical enhancements for the loss. It's like man taking a dildo to the first date and not using his penis.

I actually kind of like the watch. My wife wants to get me a watch for Christmas and that was one of the models I looked at.
