How do I like my Invicta? Its fine for the $99 I paid for it. If I ever get in trouble, its heavy enough to make a fine weapon.

Ahhhh

Refreshing.

Watches aren't for me but seriously, if they're your thing I can at least see spending a reasonable amount like $100 on one.

I don't care how rich I ever was, you would never see me drop $500+ on a watch every 12 months just because I couldn't take care of them. Buying 10 of them to match everything you wear at one time for $5k would be fine, but not one every year just because you're a clutz.

I am one of those people who does like having a watch for different outfits. I only have 3 though, but they all have their place. My Rolex is of course the most expensive, but even then, I didn't buy it new.

Son, most of my watches have had sapphire crystals. They still need replacement in 12 months.

I can get a Sapphire crystal for this watch if needed. It's usually the bezels and not the face taking the brunt of the damage.
Congrats on the new watch; it's pretty nice. It's not really my style though -- too busy.

Here's an idea: before you stick your hands in the racks, and scratch your watch to hell, take 5 seconds to take the watch off & put it in your pocket. When you're done, put it back on.

I would almost think that doing something like that was common sense. There's a huge number of professions where people do that. Hell, they do it with $20 Timex watches - dishwashers - take their watch off. Car mechanics - take their watch off. Carpenters and machinists often remove anything like watches or rings. Yet, the highly educated Alkemyst didn't think of doing this?? You mentioned that in the business world, it's a status thing - if I saw a scratched up watch, I'd be thinking "the status of that guy is that he's not bright enough to take his watch off while working with equipment."

You wouldn't be thinking "alpha male for the mother fucking win"?

If you're sticking your hands in racks for day to day work operations, there is not a chance in hell that you pull in the $$ that you brag about.

I made a thread when I bought my Invicta back in May. I didn't get this much attention over it, not sure if I should feel bad or good about that.

You should feel proud, it means the members of this forum still have some respect for you, unlike some people.

18k SS Datejust, pic is on the first page. Post #87

Cool. I may be interested, have anything higher res so I can see some detail?

Only pictures I have are taken from my camera phone, as you can see they are not very good. The watch is in amazing condition, I have owned it since 1994 and it sits in the box about 90% of the time. Its been wound every day its not worn and serviced over the years.

never said that, but i will continue to feed.

alpha males aren't insecure though, and you are extremely insecure. alpha males are secure, leaders, and dominant.

you are none of the above therefore you are no alpha male.

thanks for playing!

To go with that, I'm pretty sure that alpha males don't need to constantly tell everyone that they're alpha males (for the mother fucking win). :awe:

I have known a number of military pilots who wore Citizen Skyhawks, but personally I like mechanical watches and would have no use for a slide-rule bezel or any of the other features on that watch. To each his own - enjoy!

I myself am wearing one of these:

Now that's a nice, classy, stylish watch. +1 for not having to overcompensate. Hell, you can barely even read the time on that monstorous piece of crap alky posted. I sure hope he didn't pay anything even close to that Amazon price (though I'm sure he'll say he didn't, he's got connections, personal jewler, dildo up his ass, blah blah....)

Not to mention that one of the first things you ever learn about working in data centers / electronics labs etc is that you remove big metal objects from your person....

But it's Alky. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I don't work in Data Centers all the time. In a true data center project, I will have different clothing on even.

I am a field engineer, sometimes I have to dive into a rack when I wasn't expecting it.

fuck my pants

fuck my shirt

fuck my watch

I have given up on necklaces and rings.

It's a nice watch in real life. There are tons of reviews on it. Google: Lumtec M3

It looks bloody hideous.

Edit; Why does it need a review? I'm assuming it can tell the time and I can see what it looks like. What else is there to know?

Bro, it's got an hour and minute hand. If you think you can't read time with just that you are a seriously fucked up person.

You just quoted a watch more expensive than mine.

$500 isn't a lot for a watch. I actually paid $303 for it though with my Contura under the JC Penney watch warranty for $50 when I bought it. I bought the warranty again for $101 (in the $303 price), if they can't fix bezel damage you get a full refund. I am sure JC Penney knows they are still profitting but when they first sold me this plan I told them there is no way you can fix a stainless face really for the price. The salesperson told me "we know, we will give you a new watch"

You are thinking too much bro.

Sometimes I have to do things I wasn't expecting to do.

If I know I will be working in racks I will dress the part. Sometimes you are asked to do things.

I am not thinking of my watch during that. It's really not important.

You go girl!
