New web host suggestions

It's been a couple of years, time to dust off some of my domains and do some web design again.

I need something with shell access, Perl, and preferably isolated from other customer accounts as much possible (without being a completely dedicated server). Would like to spend less than $50 per month.

Suggestions?

I don't know the company, or how reputable they are, but $3 a year not a bad test, just make sure you have backups of your stuff if they disappear. You could then throw cPanel on it (costs $15ish a month), or a free panel like ISPConfig.

They don't have a lot of redundancy and haven't been in business long.

neither would I, but if it lasts a few months or even a year or two, you will probably get your $3 worth. Just take backups. You can also read through the comments, seems legit? It's not uncommon for these types of deals to pop up on LEB. Just trying to help OP save a few bucks if that's what he wants to do!

Yea, it's just a risk/reward decision. IF you take good backups, can handle outages, and it isn't mission critical, it could be a great dev box. I just wouldn't expect much, especially in the way of urgent support.
