1997 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. I love the car, and it's proven to be good reliable transportation as well as an endless source of amusement for my friends.

I'm jealous. I'm currently driving an 08 CTS AWD in the same color, but with black interior.

I had an 07 CTS before. This thing is just everything I loved about my old car with the dial cranked up to 11. Aggressive, in your face styling, virtually unlimited power in any gear at any speed, and oddly enough decent gas mileage when you play nice. I've had trips to and from work average 22.7mpg on the highway.

Nice truck but you WILL be doing work on it. I just sold my '94 4x4 V8, club cab SLT over the summer. It'll pull stumps out of the ground

You do much better on your commute than I. Mine averages around 16.5 mpg in the stop and go traffic in Atlanta. When I got it, I really didn't anticipate moving to the south and a much different traffic pattern.

lol I posted this at noon today, and at 5pm today I was sort of t-boned while driving home. Focus is totaled, but I am 100% fine, along with the other driver. Lady was driving a new Altima 3.5 Sedan, cruising about 55mph and ran a light, hitting me dead even on the rear left quarterpanel. It spun me 360 degrees and set off the passenger-side curtain airbags. Given that it crunched in the RR wheel pretty good, and damaged the RR quarter-panel pretty decently, I'd say this thing is totaled for insurance purposes. NADA average trade-in value is $6,895, and the level of repairs necessary to get it road-worthy probably are around that cost if not more, and then the vehicle's value is further reduced by the accident history.

Yay for outstanding vehicle safety! The passenger compartment was 100% perfect, the headrest and seating position kept me secure, and I walked out with not even a scratch. The Altima was pretty much pulverized, both the fenders folded up and the bumper was up into the engine compartment pretty good, with the radiator turned into a mashed layer of metal and plastic. The motor looked like it had broken off of a couple of the mounts as well, tilted down pretty hard towards the drivers side.

Oh man..sorry to hear that....glad to hear you made it out without any injury. How well they make cars these days from a safety perspective.

The Suzuki SV650's are such amazing bikes. If I ever get the stones to ride again that will be what I get. As it is now, I'm deathly afraid of Dallas traffic. I see at least 1 downed rider a week now.

I feel more comfortable driving in my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4-door truck.

The misses drives a 2006 Toyota Sienna POS.

Wow. Is the prelude trouble free? pics of both?

Here are some pics of both (iPhone pics, so nothing special). My GF has the digital camera...

The Prelude is in good shape; a little rust in the wheel well, but nothing major. Everything electrical works flawlessly, and the interior is in great shape. The seats are still VERY nice...even after all these years. The only think repaired in the last 2 years was the master cylinder, otherwise it still shifts and idles very smooth.

Well, the Prelude was very cheap. Bought it for $700 from a good friend who owned it for a number of years that was leaving the country. He wanted a good home for it, and I always liked the car. He had a 1997 Prelude too, but this one was cheaper.

Both cars are a lot of fun. The Prelude is a joy to drive and with the 4WS, it turns on a dime. In my eyes, there aren't a lot of "jewels" of the 1980's for cars, but this one is a treat. I always wanted a Z, but I couldn't afford one until recently. The new body style is really great, and the interior is very nice. Once the warranty is done, it will be a fun car to start installing some aftermarket performance upgrades.

2006 Subaru WRX - currently in the shop with electrical problems relating to the secondary air pump.

Maintenance costs are probably pushing her out the door, perhaps as soon as this weekend.
