I don't understand why everyone doesn't use a client. Not that long ago, I thought they did. I then discovered I was the odd one out. Web apps suck. The only thing they're good for is emergency use when the other choice is nothing at all.
Reread what he posted. He's not saying it's a personal rip off as in he's getting scammed or taken advantage of, he's stating that Yahoo copied a Google feature.

Seems they did just release a new update, and this conversation stuf is crap, that's been turned off already.
Yahoo can be useful - global acceptance and moderately reliable servers - new UI appears recycled from earlier version - not annoying for me
"shortylickins" pls help with any thoughts you may have --- I have used Eudora for several decades (and continue, although Eudora is officially orphaned/deceased) - pls comment on Thunderbird - I must maintain a Eudora account for foreseeable future. Do you run Thunderbird under 64 bit environment? much appreciate your comments. yes my Eudora is related to academic/faculty position ( and with so many contacts difficult to set aside...)
my apologies and thank you to OP
You'd rather delete/move 10+ related messages when you could just delete/label 1 conversation?
thanks ichinisan, there are approx six hundred correspondent email addresses contained in my Eudora (literally located worldwide) and arranged in associated hierarchy for attachment to my outgoing emails. as some of these "addressees" n ever reply (over several decades) I have no confirmation that my revised email address has been noted/updated by that correspondent. so Eudora continues (for some - there are others in same position as myself) with only Thunderbird as possible upgrade path to retain associated database --- Outlook &/or others do not have this feature.
this relates to early internet/intranet www aspects now structured differently. presently I've isolated Eudora folder (some of which is actually "floating: online in ether) and used cloning to transfer to new hdd (as intact archeive).
of course with about 600 addressees and about 9000 emails the associated linkage (author / subject / keyword) is annoyingly complex and quite tangled --- the original reason I did not abandon Eudora 11 years ago.

Like I said, only issue is my school email. They have instructions for Thunderbird 3, 4, and 5. Shame I using 24.
