On the previous page of posts, someone was interested in "translating" the Hartware.de review of the Zalman CNPS-9500. I won't bother to do that for you, but take a close look at the tables of results in the last few web-pages.
They compared the Zalman fan or a fan similar running at 2,900 rpm with a "hardcore" fan for the ThermalRight XP120.
At room temperatures that were approximately the same, test-bed "ceteris paribus" also the same, the ThermalRight still has a lower load temperature by about 1C.
Zalman's boast that their cooler does as well or better than water-cooling rigs is ALL HYPE. If they had something, their reviewers would show thermal resistance much lower than 0.18.
Instead, check the review, test-conditions and results for as review dated August 27, 2005, at "OverClockers.com" for the ThermalRight SI-120 -- a revision and successor to the XP-120 which has a similar design, dimensions and installation, but significantly improved.
