I just tried my new Teac CD-W512EB for the first time copying audio CD's and it results in a lot of static over the music (on the fly and from hard disk). I am copying from a Sony 48x CD-Rom. I have these questions:
1)Hook up; Instructions recommend (strongly) putting burner on slave to cd-rom, But I read elsewhere to put them on seperate channels, especially for "on the fly".
2)Copy to hard disk or "on the fly", which is better.
3)What is causing the static? Too fast writing, dirty cd (rental from library, but sounds fine when played), same IDE channel. I used the new version of Nero (software settings?), now trying clone cd, but demo only 2x-slooooow.
Thanks
