when I went to install Pronto, it could not connect to the server to get the gnome-perl bindings. So I downloaded it myself from the Pronto website and went to install it.
However, gnome-perl started complaining about some libc/glibc stuff - so I downloaded the latest version of that (2.2) and tried to install it.
It said that a few of my files were too old:
gnumake
gmake
gnumsgfmt
gmsgfmt
gsed
I went to ftp.gnu.org and downloaded the latest make and sed files, and successfully installed them. When I tried installing glibc again, gsed was ok, but everything was still too old (gmake 3.78.1).
Where can I download the latest versions of these files? (And what the heck are they, anyway?)
...thanks
