Newbie raid question (really easy to answer, trust me!)

What's the name of the raid mode where you use two identical drives to make windows detect it as only one partition of their combined size? (ie. 2 10gb drives shows up as one 20gb partition). Thanks and sorry if the question is too easy for some of you

raid 0 (also called striping) where the data is split alternately onto two or more drives.

some disk controllers can combine drives into one larger logical drive without the striping being done.

well, raid 0 (i.e. striping) does that.

raid 1 is mirroring i believe, which means you only see 10 gigs even though you have 2 drives.
