Actually, it's the opposite. If a member has been cracking for Team AnandTech for more then 30 days, they would not be able to join TA Cube, aside from a couple of exceptions. This is to prevent canibalizing existing production.

Tell me about it! ,I was running SETI 12(ish)/7 quite happily for some months ,then I got in to a race to 1000 WU's back in June &amp; my PC has been 24/7 since then!

Thanks for all the info and help. I am gonna go solo for a little while till I learn about the different groups and all. I am kind of excited to see what my stats are gonna be. I've had this thing running all day!

LOL!! Those few simple words tell us all that you're hooked already! Most folks utter them to start. Later, phrases like... &quot;Dang, I've really got to hit that 100K mark&quot; &amp; &quot;I've really got to O/C this baby to improve my keyrate&quot; &amp; &quot;I don't REALLY need new tires on my car this year, but a crack-rack is sounding awfully nice&quot; will pass forth from your lips (or fingers as the case may be).

P.S. I was not a huge Black Flag fan, but I did get a chance to see Rollins live not too long after their split, in '88 I think. Got some great pictures of him &amp; the band. He was so skinny at the time that he looked totally strung-out, not the buff guy we see him as today.

The reason I originally got involved with the RC5 contest (way back in mid December of 1997, if not earlier, can't find my old e-mail addresses in the database but I can't remember them either, so... ) was mostly out of curiosity. I wanted to know why Slashdot was posting about them so often, so I joined up. I've participated off and on for the last 2+ years, mostly for the stats now

It's amazingly addictive if you love numbers and computers, seeing the difference between the two processors in raw number crunching is amazing. And seeing Linux based systems stomp on the Windows based ones is satisfying too

I am actually seeing the difference right now. I decided to run 2 PCs just for fun(mine and my wifes). I am running an AMD K6II/400 and she is running a PII233MMX. I would have thought the PII would kick the K6's but, but nope. k-6 is deffinatly runnign faster. I took down mthe PII and have the k6 just running now. I was going to sell the k-6 , the MB, and the Ram, but now I may keep it to crunch numbers.

You guys were right, this is addictive!

You'd probably find the PII 233 would be a little quicker in SETI than the K6-2 400 ,the PII's better FPU &amp; faster L2 cache helping it

HEHE... Sounds like the barbs of Distributed computing have done their work on you BlackFlagg... Not long now until you start drooling over durons wanting a higher crack rate... I know... I'm at that stage right now, and have been for some time
