I placed an order on 10/29 for a 460 FTW, and just did the live chat. I didn't get the full 10% off, but what they offered was close enough.




That sucks. I wonder why they gave full 10% to some, partial to me, and hosed you...

The person I spoke to did say something about making an exception for me, so maybe they don't usually do it. Her name was Tatiana.

I believe they are all the reference design at this point. The differences are purely aesthetic. ASUS has the cleanest look IMO (and becuase of that I assume its sold out). XFX has the double lifetime warranty, and a little bit different exhaust fan, which is the reason it costs more.

Otherwise I would go Sapphire, HIS or GB, in that order.

In for two more HD6870s. Unintentionally, actually. I wanted to order two TP-750 PSUs, and one more HD6870, but when I told my friend I wanted two of them, he thought I was talking about the video card, so I got one PSU and two video cards.

Oh well, I'll find a use for it somewhere.

Couldn't pass up the GTX 460 768MB for $133 AR. This card will be replaced with a 288 shader/1GB version soon, which may be why it is so heavily discounted.

Great deal. Passed it off to a co-worker who was looking for a replacement for the 7950GX2 I loaned him. I think he picked up the EVGA since he was convinced that he would need a lifetime warranty.

As a side note, for anyone interested in flipping the free game code, be careful as Newegg pulled some shady stuff on me a few weeks back. I ordered an MSI Cyclone when it came with a free code for Just Cause 2 and the coupon for the game expired while it was in transit (they were selling them right up to the expiration date). Luckily I eventually got a store credit for $50, but it took many many phone calls and arguments about whether Nvidia or Newegg was at fault.
