One good deal is this PNY 2x4GB DDR3-1333 1.5v kit about $85 - $13 discount - $20 rebate = $52

The rebate is good for up to 3 kits.
I don't have a DDR3 system (yet) but would it still be a good idea to grab some in case memory prices go up?One good deal is this PNY 2x4GB DDR3-1333 1.5v kit about $85 - $13 discount - $20 rebate = $52

Ya, that's a good find! I like the 1.5v too.
Usually not a great idea to buy for the future; esp if that future is a year out. Either prices will drop or the standard will change or both.

me on the other hand;well when SB is available again....
I've been thinking along those same lines, but haven't yet decided if I'm more likely to build an Intel or AMD system, so there's the question: dual-channel or triple-channel kit?DDR3 will be the standard well into 2012 and possibly even early 2013. RAM is at historically low levels now and since prices are volatile, I've been debating picking some up for my next build, which might happen in the fall.

I grabbed two of These since ive had great experiences with G.Skill in the past and i wanted ones with low profile heat-spreaders so i know they wont get in the way of any large cpu Heatsink i may use in a future build. So guys, any recommendations on an 8 GB 1.5 V, DDR3-1600 kit? I estimate I'll upgrade in the fall or winter. I do OC, but I tend to buy RAM that will be faster than my OC so I won't need to worry about that component being an issue.

I've got a question. I bought these about a year ago.

And now due to this deal, I would like to buy these and put it in the same system.

Are the different voltages gonna matter? Or should it run just fine?
FYI offer expires 2/12
You are correct, but the 1600 will most likely allow tighter timings for SB and can also be used in my current rig which is a i7 920@4.2ghz.Isn't sandy bridge multiplier overclocking now? Do you even need to push ram out of spec to do that?
