what do guys think? i havent seen pc3200 for this cheap and they are winbond modules! but i have never heard of buffalo

Ok, I just called Buffalo directly and was able to order.
They have the 512mb winbond pc3200 for $72 and the 512mb winbond pc3700 for $100. Shipping is free.

edit: There's a 5% credit card surcharge

What are the benefits of PC3700 over PC3200 assuming I was to use 2 512MB sticks with an Intel 875P Chipset for Dual-Channel DDR400?
Will their be any performance gains if I were to purchase 2 PC3700 modules. I will not be overclocking, just be setting it at the default 400MHz (DDR400).
Also, is Intel going to release a faster Dual-Channel chipset in the near future?

if you're not oc'ing and setting at the default ddr400, then the pc3200 would be perfect. i've heard better things about the winbond 3200 than the 3700 though.

they're rated cas 2.5, but most winbond chips (bh-5) can run cas 2 easily.

Yes, the company name is Melco Inc. Buffalo is their trade name. They make and market all sorts of PC peripherals in Japan and Asia.
