I am not sure if this is a hot deal or not.
Can anyone verify this with me? I don't know much about monitors, but a 17' LCD for $288 caught my eyes when I was surfing NewEgg.

Not really any better unless you just need something cheap. But is't a bad price for a DVI LCD.

16' doesn't sound like a regular size LCD to me.

Can anyone find info on this monitor? I may actually pick it up for my kid's old pc. I don't need DVI and i want speakers on the monitor.

Also, i see that Tigerdirect has the Advueu WB1701T for $339 plus a $50 rebate. Found a $70 rebate on the 171t though.

I looked at the monitor at the TigerDirect site, and although there is a labeled cutout for DVI, there is no connector.

So it might be that someone SAW the back labeled DVI, but never looked to see if there was a connector on the bottom area for DVI.

Got it for myself instead of 2.5 YO 15' Planar. Quite impressive improvement in size, brightness and color. No dead pixels.

Just got one today. It is $295 shipped. The speakers are weak as expected, but the display is bright and clear. And no dead pixels too. Very good value. We'll see about reliability.
