I used to get my stuff from Newegg in two days to the bayarea from LA. Just like clockwork. But since they have this DHL/USPS transfers thing going on, I usually get it the 4th or 5th business day.

With all this new inter-company shipping with Newegg, Amazon (with UPS and USPS), etc, things are horribly slow. I've had UPS just move stuff to as far as Oakland and it sat from Friday to Monday doing squat. On Monday they transferred it to USPS and I received it Tuesday. Four days to go 20 miles. That's why it's still free shipping.

If ya wants it faster, ya hasta pay more.

I just renewed my amazon prime membership. I am an impatient sob just like yourself and I found myself over paying for stuff at B&M stores just so I could have it same day. I figured I can wait a day or two so I am trying amazon again and just got me a year of prime.

Prime is amazing. No tax, free 2 day, and $4 upgrade to next day.

Actually I am.. I don't know if it will go far but I will.. I'm pretty honest person. They sent me two ASUS Crosshair extreme about a month ago. I only paid for one. I had to return it my conscience wouldn't allow me to keep it. I had a friend dying to take it off my hands.. I just couldn't do it.

Newegg itself has gone downhill in terms of customer service and UPS just sucks rocks. I haven't gotten a 3-day ship from UPS in months. It's always 4-5 days and I'm not talking week ends.

I wish I could get FedEX shipping from Newegg, but they don't have that option. I've never had a package arrive late from FedEx.

It's the same as stealing.

I would find the thread with the link to the school, (I think it was somewhere in australia or something) but I wouldn't want to upset you.

I can probably just have my alumni organization set me up with an edu account if I really wanted to "exploit" it, and I'm sure employees at colleges have an edu account too. There are obviously many gray areas with who can use an edu account for a benefit, but if taking the high road makes you feel special, so be it, I'll enjoy my discounts.
