I was going to pick one of these up until I saw it was SATA 6Gb/s. I'm still on a Gigabyte P35-D3SL and I'm not ready to upgrade yet.

That drive should be fine on your board. SATA6Gb/s reverts to 3Gb/s for older boards.

I actually ordered 8 of these yesterday to populate a new NAS. If you're bulk ordering like that, TigerDirect has them for $209.97 a pop but Bing Cashback is offering 12% for TD which is around $185/ea + ship.

What's that got to do with it?

It's compatable with all SATA stuff and probably doesn't have SATA1 speeds let alone SATA2 or 3 speeds.
