Soyo gets pretty low marks in general, even more so in this case since it's an AMD 8151 based board, which was AMD's "launch chipset" for the Athlon, and is not a major chipset. As for the MSI board, MSI itself can be hit and miss from what I've been told, but the board itself looks good.

No socket 754 chips support dual channel for now. The memory controller is integrated onto the CPU, and the socket 754 chips are all single channel.

It was 223 iirc, and you got farcry with it.

I seen that too, they had raised the mobo up to $90 for a short time but looks like they lowered it back down to $83 making it $286 again.

it sucks i woulda rather bought the amd64 2800 combo.. then sell the a64 for 180 add 30 bucks and get the amd643000 that way instead of paying an extra 50 not much of a deal i would say
