I'm running two 470s in sli on an unsupported board using a 790fx AMD chipset. The method works on many different chipsets but one requires virtualization support like vt-d or can on AMD. Still requires a sli bridge. Google slipatch or hypersli (hypersli uses virtualization). Not too surprising some ppl figured out how to get around the software limitation nvidia put in place after the fact.
