Newegg going rotten?!

Let me start by saying, Im not trying to get flamed I just want answers. Ive been doing business with newegg.com for a lil over a year and have thousands of dollars not to mention the other customers Ive refered to them.
My last few orders have been a lil rocky but this last order in particular is one that has me thinking of a new supplier, My order didnt go out for days, I called them several times and they finnaly state it was ready to ship out some 4 days after I ordered I asked to be upgraded in shipping considering my past orders and they were very leary of doing this, they then agreed, They shipped my order consisiting of a case, cdrom, cdburner, processor, ram, video card, sound card etc...they shipped the order on 2 seperate days no explanation as to why, all parts were in stock, when I received the first part of the order and the disk for the GeforceII Gts OEM was rubberband to the card tight enough that it cracked it in half! Now I know no big deal download one from Nvida just the idea, my client wants the disk that cam with video card, I call Newegg sat on hold 15 minutes a rep picks up I hear background talk so I say "hello?" and I hear the rep say "O no I think its him" I here what sounds like there head set switch and I again say "hello?" I then hear "yea it defintly sounds like him" and then I here silence and then the call dropped, fustrated I call back and I wait on hold 10 minutes and the call switches to a voice mail saying they are closed when it was around noon there. I have to go to Fedex tonight to pick up the rest of the order, so I dont know if anything else will be damaged.... Has anyone else been experincing this from Newegg? Im thinking of returning the whole $900 order....

just got an order.....came within 2 days......the oem disk for my modem was in with ...not banded to ...the modem......wrapped in bubble wrap.....there just as good as they have been in the past, for me

I for one have only made one order through them and it was a case that came as described within 4 days. But that is some bum luck you got. The whole phone deal would piss me off too. I was thinking about ordering the rest of the system through them and this is the first real complaint I have heard. Curious to see what others say. Sry you got hosed darkside. gl

i ordered an audigy oem this past friday and it shipped same day i ordered it. i've never had an item that didn't ship the same day i ordered it.

Right now I am sitting as just over 12k in ordered in the last 2 months, and I have not had a single problem or defective product. I would give them another call, maybe just got a bad rep.

I've spent about $2,000 there and havn't had any order problems at all. Got a DOA Lite-On CR-RW, they took it back and gave me a Plextor, pretty awsome service if you ask me.

Hello,

I have always been impressed with NewEgg.... I have spent over $50,000 over the last 6 months with them and have only had "2" bad experiences (if you could call it that).

1) Purchased 15 MAXTOP CSX-3688K 350W Power Supply Mid Tower PC Cases in January. I have never checked the cases before to see if the right power supply was actually inside. This time I did and 3 had 300-watt ps, so I promptly called NewEgg and waited just 2 long minutes before a "CARMEN" picked up. She apologized for the error. The bad thing to me is it was not even their fault. It was Maxtops. Carmen gave me to options of crediting my account $35 for each power supply or I could ship it back postage paid, "While" NewEgg sent me 3 replacements with no shipping charges and 2nd day. I just had her credit my account. She apologized again and while I was on the phone with her, she emailed their web mater to take that item off their page. It was off before I had hung up with her. I was back up in a couple of days. I have since ordered that same case with the correct power supply. NewEgg will continue to get my business.

2) Sometimes while NewEgg is in a rush to ship out order, their packaging quality will slip, but they put enough peanuts in the boxes to run out of business.


Hey, for ordering on Friday in the morning and receiving your product on Monday.... I am not going to complain.

NewEgg ..... Keep up the good customer service and quality products.

I?ve ordered quite a few times from them. All of my dealings with them have been first rate. I can say is that they are the only ones that haven?t screwed up an ordered yet, (I know it?s just a matter of time).

Sounds like they may have some bad dealings with you in the past as well.

Oooo...now that will really show 'em. Darn Newegg! Can't be perfect! Maybe even take ALL the freinds you referred with ya too! Darn Newegg!

Maybe get the clue that if the staff is keen enough to be able to pick you out of a croud...then you might be coming across a little strong. Remember do unto others as....blah blah blah works both ways and even in retail. Looks like the answer you'll get here is that you're being a tad anal. Lighten up and look at the overall picture.

Newegg does a GREAT job most ALL of the time...maybe even you have some bad days too, yes?

I for one have never dealt with a company that handles RMA's so fast and painlessly....I will pay extra just to buy a product through them because of this....

chalk it up as sh^t happens...rma the card and disk and get a new one....

Also buy the retail box of vid cards and this wont be the problem....

Ok, first off, if you think 4 days from order to ship is long, then you're crazy. For most online companies it takes longer.

Second, if the customer service reps there who answer the phone know you by VOICE, then you MUST have done more than just complain and get an upgraded shipping service...so what did you do???

Third, Newegg even RMA'd a sound card that died 2 months AFTER the OEM warranty ran out, no questions asked.

IMO, Newegg is the best and will continue to get my patronage for a long, long time.

I don't know, i haven't been entirely happy with Newegg. I almost always order from Mwave.com. the only time i order from Newegg is when Mwave doesn't have it in stock. Mwave cost a few dollars more per item, but they've always shipped quicker than Newegg.

I've dealt with Newegg twice now, and both times were fine. They shipped within 24 hours, everything was as advertised and not damaged.

Heck, they were even willing to RMA my Epox 8KHA+ when I called to complain about the Visiontek 4600 not fitting it (not their fault). I did have to make a bit of a fuss, but they were willing to do so, even after the 30 day return period had ended. I ended up keeping the MB, and will try another brand of GF4 later.

So, I don't know if the original poster got a moron rep, or what happened. I can say, having worked retail for several years, that you simply cannot please everyone, no matter how hard you try. Sounds like one of those deals, though I can't say so for sure, not knowing the original poster.

now i know where i will be ordering my stuff from

and if you think 4 days is a long time ...it took 2 1/2 weeks for my nero 5.5 in shipping and 5 days to get my order and put it in the mail

and no i am NOT talking about newegg. as i didn't know newegg existed at that time (8 months ago)
