Newegg going rotten?!

Newegg rules, spending thousand dollar and never have big problems, small problem like 8 days late delivery was Fedex mistake. Mwave is also good, but newegg has more variety of components.

All I know is I have ordered many things from NewEgg for both me and friends who I have built systems for. Everything worked without a problem and the delivery was as fast as FedEx would deliver! Never had a problem with them so far. Never had to use their RMA so can't comment about that but others here have and have not had any problems. Maybe it was a fluke. I wonder why they seem to know you by voice though? Did you call and blow up at them a few times too many?

I give NewEgg a perfect 10 so far.

I have mixed experiences with newegg
but overall I'd say they're goodguys, just don't use em if you need your stuff in a rush
they do have very cust support, but they usually take a day or 2 to ship your stuff, unlike every other place on pricewatch that ships stuff immediately -- I guess you can't really blame them because they have so many orders

Most of my experiences with Newegg have been great. The *only* thing that gripes me is when they sometimes ship some of my larger orders on two different days. I always get the luck of one package on Friday and then the rest of it on Monday. I can understand the delay for sending some items out, but I REALLY hate it when they do two boxes on two different days.

Hmmm...if I ever got a CSR like that...oh boy. I have this device that hooks up to a parallel port on the back of my computer and the phone jacks pass through there, allowing me to use my computer mic to talk over the phone, but also, audio signals go into the box of this device...I'd whip out my Frequency Generator and see if a few tones of 8KHz+ would get his/her attention? How about some loud techno or rap with lots of cussing!? Ahhh, the money I'd pay to see someone's face when picking up the headset then.

I'd call Newegg and ask to talk to the current supervisor/manager that's on hand. Did you by chance get the CSR's name? I've read other posts about a few bad apples over at Newegg's CSR department.

I wouldn't say rotten, but my last few purchases were far from perfect.

I've put together three systems with parts all bought from Newegg. I've also referred all my friends to them. I've been very pleased with their prices and service, but my last batch of parts didn't go so well. I bought and returned 2 ECS motherboards, because they both crapped out on me. The first worked fine for a few days, then abruptly wouldn't boot up anymore. The next one worked fine, but I couldn't get the video drivers to load up on it. Of course, those weren't Newegg's fault. I also bought a Cheiftec (Antec clone) case that included the power supply. When I got it, the power supply was dangling by two screws (2 were missing). Upon closer inspection, the power supply's "void if removed" sticker was broken, as if someone opened the thing up. The bracket that held the PS in place was also bent pretty badly. I called Newegg up, and they wouldn't overnight a new case to me (even though I paid extra to overnight the first case). The guy kept saying, "Well, it wouldn't make sense to overnight it to you, because it costs too much." I kept trying to explain to him that they made a mistake and should recitfy it. I had to twist the guy's arm to finally agree to overnight me a new power supply (the rest of the case was alright, and I need to put the computer soon). The motherboard and case/PS experience left me a bit skeptical of Newegg. Perhaps they're growing bigger, and as with all companies, the service tends to get a little diluted. I, for one, sincerely hope that Newegg keeps their approach to business the same, and they keep their customers happy. I'll most likely order from them again, but I don't have the gung-ho "Newegg rocks" attitude anymore...

I like Newegg. I had ordered a new powersupply (Antec 400), which came with a very weak 12V rail. I RMA'ed it (which they did without complaint), they would send me a new one when that one arrived. Well I was unlucky and they were out of stock when my powersupply reached them. I was just credited the amount of the supply. I decided to order a different one (an Enermax of higher rating) and since it was a different order, I again paid shipping. I paid three shipping and that bothered me a bit, so I called. I just asked for the one I paid to send it to them back, but they gave me that and the original shipping back. (Which restored my trust completely) They aren't perfect, but they are pretty good.........

Well lemme clear a few things, I only called there maybe three times 2 with this last order. I called to see when it would ship since 4 days after the order it didnt go out, so whenI called they promised it would go out that day, I didnt give them any beef I kindly asked to upgrade the shiping since there site states orders will go out in 24-48 hours so in actuality my order took 6 days from the day I ordered it yes I know there shister companys that have you sitting around for weeks, but that is why I deal with reptuable companies
As far as maybe they knew my voice and thougt I was an A-hole customer that is BS they should handle every call that comes into the call center professionaly, cuz guess what I wasnt who they thought I was and actually pi**ed off a good customer. Yes I know all companies have there bad reps, andmaybe Im pi**ed over nothing
As for dont flame newegg? As I startede out the topic, Im not flaming anyone, I just want to know if others are experincing issues with new egg latly, did I start a post that blantly states newegg sucks ^%^&$%^$ no I didn't, do I feel that way, no Im just pi**ed someone dropped the ball and then I get a crappy rep, and then when I called back and sit on hold (well Im on break at my job) then after 10minutes get dropped to a voicemail stating newegg is closed.

I've spent $4,000+ pretty evenly between newegg.com and mwave.com. I've received perfect service from both.

I call bs...... Maybe some of the story is believable, but hearing them talking about you over the phone?????

Personally, I've had great experiences from them. Never a problem with any orders i've done.

Okey, I have yet to buy anything from Newegg, so let me just said something. Obviously from these posts, the majority people have(had) excellent service from Newegg. Now all darkside9923 is asking what experience did you have, since he didn't any bad experience before this incident. Some of you became obssessed with the 'perfect' Newegg, can't bear any negative commons(nor anyone post bad experience about them ) to it and calling darkside9923 a troll and ask the mod to check his ip?? If that is not trolling then what is then?? Give this person a break.

darkside9923, I would also suggest you to ring them up again(if possible, record the conversation) and see whether or not you get the service that is expected from a professional company as Newegg. If that is still the case, then you may want to look at other alternatives, no point of laying all you 'eggs' in Newegg

You know I totaly passed over this post by mistake I decided to reread the posts when I saw Duvie say somethin about my IP address, that really ticks me off...you now? You come to forums for some comments and then you step on someones toes that thinks a retailer can do no wrong. Compare me to stealing?! Dishonesty?! Whatever....
People are saying they dont beleive the phone call...I didnt either, and if it wasnt for me being at work I would have called back again, I will defintly call back monday and get a reps name, Im sure I wont get the same reps that hung up on me....Sorry if I made people mad, I should now better than ask questions about a particular retailer, its just like when someone compares Amd to Intel and that person gets flamed who Cares its a question its not an insult of your personal character. Any way Moderator please lock topic or delete, dont want to be acused of wrong doing.

Same here , no complaints. Last order made on a Monday received Wednesday same week ajnd in good shape. It is tough to cover all the bases all the time.

My last order was shipped in 3 seperate boxes. The third box was delayed a day (for whatever reason or another). They automatically shipped the 3rd box FedEx Overnight standard. I never called and compalained or anything.

Nothing but great service from newegg for over a year myself...

WTF??? Some of us actually have had several bad experiences with Newegg. I and others have tried to share our experience, and every time we do we are the ones that get flamed. And you now have the balls to want somebody traced because they share a bad experience. FU!

If you like Newegg, fine. And it's obvious that a lot of people do. But that doesn't mean they haven't f'd up on occaision. Shop there if you like, but some of us have learned not to.

I have ordered the last 3 "batches" from Newegg and have no problems. I deal with Atacom also. I have no problems with either one. Atacom has better prices overall in the last year.. I advise to all to "shop around" because prices do vary greatly. Online suppliers come and go, and so does service.

Past history is fleeting on the internet.
