still no confirmation from moogr.com. I guess they're not legit...should have known that the price was too good to be true

Well, they have a 10 rating on resellerratings.com, but only 5 reviews. They could be so new (or small) the price was to get business, and now they are swamped ???? I would be patient, and call if you can.

dajeepster was blowing up their phone yesterday, and I've called three times today and sent them an email, too. Nobody to answer the phone, no extension set up for the operator, nothing. This wouldn't be an issue if the orders had already been processed properly, but since they've now been delayed two days it appears that they are not planning to honor their commitment. I do have time to be patient so I'll probably give them another day or two, but they only showed 31 X3350's in stock when I placed my order. I can't imagine that it would be difficult for them to either process my order or send me a notice saying that it's backordered. Even if that place is one guy working out of his garage he should be able to do that.

interestingly, tank guys has Q9450 oem and retail. they're at 364.99 for retail and 359 for oem. both of them have a 1 year warranty according to their web site.

So we'll expect a new "unofficial X3350 Overclocking" thread by 7pm Thursday...

Ha ! Assuming no bios problems (it says it supports X3110, nothing about X3350) or heat problems or....

If that's a dq6 you're putting it on I think I've already seen posters with that chip working fine. I know they have on DS3 based boards for sure. I'm just not sure about the model but IIRC it was the DQ6. You'll be fine Or you can just send it to me when it doesn't work...

[EDIT]
Found a DFI board doing it.

Can't remember where I found yours. The one above is the X3320 but close. I saw the x3350. Sorry don't have time to find it. But above is a BIT encouraging

They haven't returned any calls or emails yesterday. So I put a cancellation in... I recieve an email from moogr stating that the item has been shipped, but then they don't put in a tracking number nor who it was shipped from. I tried calling them again this afternoon and still haven't been able to talk to someone. I've left another message on thier machine and still haven't heard from them... along with another email. Moogr hasn't been responsive to emails, nor phone messaging... I should have stuck with tried and true newegg ... my bad

No retails - yet - we're getting some tomorrow and more over the next few days, but they are all going to pre-orders.

Also, retails all have 3 year warranties, it's a typo on the page. Whoops!

I got the same "item has been shipped" email, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt now. I'm pretty confident that it won't come in this weekend, so as long as I have it by sunday apr 6th I'll be ok.

I would definitely go with tankguys over newegg even if newegg has the item in stock now. everyone seems to be in the $360 range now, except newegg was $379 before going OOS.

Thanks for the warranty info tankguys, so the retail version has a 3 yr warranty and the oem has 1 year? We had this discussion in another thread, but I think that warranty shouldn't matter to us overclockers, anyway. The chips are the same, you aren't going to rma a 9450 that's been run at 3.7 for 1.5 yrs anyway, so why not save the $10 up front and use it to help buy a tuniq, noctua, ultra-exteme, etc?

oh... and five more ratings have showed up on resellersratings.com... the funny thing is, one of the reviewers said "Moogr was very easy to contact and responded promptly to an inquiry."... I wonder what company he was actually reviewing? I put my review up... i'll change it if they actually finally respond back... i'm starting to get too disgruntled... I need to go for a bike ride

I got my X3110 just fine from them also. No problem quick shipping the day I ordered. Same experience with Ewiz. Both shipped same day I ordered. I've purchased an iAudio mp3 player with Red Roxx headset from Ewiz also. Other than that nothing from either.

ok, update on the moogr.com order. The founder is a member here at AT (byronm). I sent him a pm yesterday evening, by noon today I had a tracking # with UPS. It's currently in Illinois, rapidly making its way to victoria, tx

I often tell my own customers to not judge me on the problem that they had, but instead to judge me on how I resolved the issue. If he can get dajeepster's issue taken care of as well then I'll be a big fan now

Good Link , Jian
Here i thought the E8400 would stay King for a little while anyways !!
But after looking at these benches, Holy Cow [nice job xbit labs]
I have made 1 conclusion , next build will be with Q9450
The performance should be great for $350
Since i'm pretty happy with my Gig P35 DS3R do you think another new one would match up good with that Q9450 Quad !! or should i go x38 - x48 chipset ???

Good Job , Jian OL'PAL GARY

Not at all. Every single benchmark will be won by the Q9300/X3320. Period. And that's not including the fact that it runs cooler, should overclock better based on the 45nm process (assuming a board that can hit 2000+fsb) AND comes with SSE4.1.

The faster FSB, 100mhz, and core improvements make it win 7% avg in everything.
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articl...y/core2quad-q9300.html
Q9300 vs. Q6600. Q6600 didn't win ONE test.

Look at the power consumption. Q9300 is 100mhz more. Now look at the overclocked ones at Q6600 3.6ghz vs Q9300 3.5ghz. Which you would probably need to get close to the Q9300. A full 70watts!

I might want the 3350 if I bothered though. Easier overclock without huge FSB.

But your wallet usually dictates what you do...LOL

the ds3R isn't bad, but the p35 ds4 or maybe even ip35 pro (since it's down around $140 AR these days) are better overclocking solutions for a quad. You're probably better off steering clear of the very high x38/48 prices unless you plan a crossfire rig.
