OK, you made me curious so I looked. With each purchase rounded to the nearest dollar, it looks like I've bought about $12,248 worth of stuff at Newegg since 2002. Have it not been for me starting to cut back on upgrades in 2005 or so, it would've been much worse. If I'm bored one day, I'll have to break it down by year. $900 of that figure was for a TV, but the rest was for computer gear except the occasional Xbox controller.

It would look really sporadic for years...one year I spent 5k, and another only 1K~, or less...kind off odd, wonder why that is.

I wish they'd make pretty graphs of my spending habits, I like pretty graphs that help decipher my habits.

I do too. That would be cool to see. Or at least let you easily download your history to Excel so you can graph it quickly.

I don't think any dealership will allow that

Ah but they do!!
My mom paid for a $22K car on CC. I was there (she partially used one of my CCs so that cashback on the UPromise.

I also did a $32K kitchen remodel years ago on CC.

damn, wish the place would have let me do that...I wired the money. It's a 2.5-3.5% hit on the purchase, I am surprised they let your mom do that.

Newegg is the only major online shopping I do. I starting shopping there in 2008 probably, when I built my first computer. I have spent about $3500 there probably, which includes a $1400 50" plasma, one full computer, two monitors, and one huge upgrade.

is amazon > newegg? I haven't bought computer parts in years except for ram and hard drives, but I find prices on amazon to always be cheaper.

Not so bad really ... think of purchasing computer stuff like a new car...I made the big purchase, and after a few months/years i'll sell the item off and lose 20-50% of it's value, and start off getting a new item again.

If you notice, my first heat post was 12-16-2002, when I probably sold that item, and upgraded off the egg .

I always do this. The AnandTech FS/T forum has helped me a lot when selling my old parts

$6829.03 since January '02 for me, I probably have at least that much again at Mwave. I seem to buy a lot of small items, with large purchases when I upgrade.
