Since 2002 I spent close to $2200 at the 'egg and most of the items I don't even have anymore (Damn advancing Tech and me being an idi0T selling things to get more things )

How much money have you spent online (Not just Newegg) in the past 8 Years and at what place, have you spent the most at?

Not counting my computer, a thousand, maybe. Counting my computer, $3400 plus a thousand, maybe. Mostly just games and random stuff, spread over about a dozen etailers. But the textbooks I bought online do push it up a lot.

Yeah, no kidding. I've had single purchases bigger than that.

OP, I don't know the exact number, but suffice it to say, many thousands of dollars. I'm not into computer hardware like I once was, so the last few years, my expenditures have gone way down. Now that I'm married, I also have other priorities though I did just treat myself to a new Radeon 6870.

Not so bad really ... think of purchasing computer stuff like a new car...I made the big purchase, and after a few months/years i'll sell the item off and lose 20-50% of it's value, and start off getting a new item again.

If you notice, my first heat post was 12-16-2002, when I probably sold that item, and upgraded off the egg .

As IndyColtsFan pointed out, I too, as I've gotten older, with more bills, I've spent less at NE in a given year. I actually spend WAY more in the FS/T forum now buying second hand or last gen stuff. I still buy at NE, but not nearly in the quantity I used to. I cant get to My Account to tally up though for some reason.

OK, you made me curious so I looked. With each purchase rounded to the nearest dollar, it looks like I've bought about $12,248 worth of stuff at Newegg since 2002. Have it not been for me starting to cut back on upgrades in 2005 or so, it would've been much worse. If I'm bored one day, I'll have to break it down by year. $900 of that figure was for a TV, but the rest was for computer gear except the occasional Xbox controller.

I've only spent ~$2600 over the past 4 years at Newegg, most of it within the last 6 months. But not all of that is my spending either - my parents sometimes ask me to order something for them (be it a digital camera, build them a new computer...) and they just pay me back.

What's kind of nice is if you use the Amex bonus points mall, you can get 3 times the points on Newegg purchases (nice, considering its only 1 point per dollar spent by default).
