I installed 3 of the 120GB models in a few Lenovo desktops awhile back. They cloned the old drives fine and have been running great since.

SF2200 controller (pretty old but that's not such a bad thing)

There are a lot of $80 240GB SSD deals but this is probably one of the best based on brand reputation. The PNY Optima has a Silicon Motion controller with middling performance and poor support not to mention toggle mode NAND, and the Kingston V300 SSD is for all intents and purposes identical to the ECO2 except for the NAND and firmware optimizations, which might be the deciding factor. All have a 3 year warranty.

Of course if you can get a MX100 or something for $80, that's the best option, but the last Crucial drive I saw for $80 was the BX100 250GB which has some shortcomings as well.

You speak of Toggle NAND like that's a bad thing. Toggle NAND is the fastest. It essentially uses a DDR interface.

Async is the slowest, Sync is faster, and Toggle (DDR) is AFAIK the fastest.
