edit: I'm CONSIDERING placing the following reseller rating for Newegg... and now also shortened

I thought very highly of Newegg before my last order. I ordered $780 worth of items from them on Sunday Dec 19th as a christmas present for my father, thinking, I'll trust Newegg as I have done in the past for being well-priced and fast in their delivery. I then placed an order monday night from the egg as well (thinking it, if anything, would come after christmas)

I check-up on UPS thursday, and all of a sudden, all my parts from the sunday night order are rescheduled to tuesday, 2 days AFTER Christmas. Meanwhile the order placed on monday arrives at my doorstep. I could not understand in the least what nonsense was happening. To the best of my knowledge, the orders I placed the earliest in Newegg were being delivered the latest, while the orders placed the latest were being delivered earliest. What's more, both came from the same warehouse in california. I think Newegg is very inefficient and/or confused with UPS, and I am very happily considering never doing business with either of them again (mainly UPS... Newegg I would forgive if they lower their Fedex rates to be reasonable).

I recommend anyone who wants to "save a buck" with UPS and Newegg to think again, because you can both save more money and get better service elsewhere.

(all of this, btw, is true... :| )

maybe wait until you get the products before placing a review? newegg and fedex like to surprise with early delivery sometimes. not sure about ups, tho. doubt it.

Thats really dickish of Newegg. I never had anything bad like that happen to me. Newegg has always been great. I guess they didn't like you?

how about this? ORDER YOUR STUFF EARLIER. You are luck ANY online retailer could meet a Christmas delivery shipped ground the week before Christmas. And then YOU mad e it worse but altering your order, which likely meant they had to cancel your original order and create a new one.

Newegg has always been good to me. UPS on the other hand I've always hated. Ordering sunday night doesn't acually mean it's coming in 3 days either...technically it's 3 days after they process your order (i think) So maybe they just had to wait to get something you ordered in first?

lol yea, that's what I should do... I don't feel like going last minute shopping anway...

Right on! If the person is loving and caring, they will understand. Buying online *ALWAYS* has its consequences, reputations aside. Patience is a virtue, bud.

UPS may be the default option at NewEgg, but for godsakes people, it's not the ONLY option! The pull-down menus work great on my computer to select FedEx!

UPS sucks, its simple, FedEx FTW. After I realized ZZF has changed to FedEx shipping by default, they'll be getting the majority of my business. The only business NewEgg will see is when either their product is cheaper, or if I need a case, CPU, or GPU.
I miss the old NewEgg.

1st of all, why the hell did you wait until so late to order the stuff. at this time of year you should be expecting delays.

2nd, newegg doesn't have any control over the shipping once it leaves their warehouse. thats all on the shipping company.

3rd, i'm sure changing your order at the last minute didn't help things either.

you need to calm down. that review is freaking ridiculous. thats like saying ups lost the package then going to newegg and saying you aren't going to buy from newegg ever again.

I haven't tried talking to them.... I suppose I should... but not sure what they can do now...

I think it's Newegg's inefficiency with UPS I'm pissed about, not them in general

alright a lot of what you guy are saying makes sense... I guess I shouldn't leave such a terrible review for poor Newegg... it was my fault for ordering so late...

I'm just venting...

I'll probably end up leaving a decent review for them anyway after everything blkows over...

you may see your order shows up on time. ups said they were gonna reschedule my tires today, but they delivered it yesterday.

It's UPS that's screwing your order, although I think everything I've gotten from CA using UPS has been re-routed and delayed. It's stupid, UPS sucks.

Haven't had any issues with NewEgg on tight deadlines (yet). Interestingly, though, I thought they shipped their orders with FedEx - last order I placed was this Christmas season and arrives via UPS.

Yep but newegg choose the contract with UPS. They could have stayed with Fed-Ex but choose not too. As such I and many others are now choosing to order from www.zipzoomfly.com

As soon as I saw newegg was using UPS mostly now, i knew things like would happen. UPS has always been a let down and even cost more when I have shipped items. Fed-Ex always has been cheap and very good.
